Pokesan - Poke Bowls, Dumplings & More

It was a really great experience. Small restaurant with a big character. The food and service also amazing. Portions are huge, go for the rainbow bowl!

Lacks the large selection of mix-ins and toppings of other Poke places but makes up for it in quality of ingredients. Definitely recommend the scallion pancakes, a personal favorite of mine that Pokesan does incredibly.

This was a good place, the customer service was great, food was fast and fresh. It was nice to sit by the window and look at the city. Clean and modern look. Lots of stairs to climb, but worth the climb. My wife wishes their bowls were bigger, it was tough to eat from the small bowls. Milk donuts were awesome.

Update 7/2025 I got another build your own bowl and the rice was better this time. Rating slightly increased. Im glad I gave it another shot cause they are generous with the fish portions. Decent poke bowl spot. The fish was fresh and the sauce was good but the key for me with poke is the rice and it just wasn't up to standard at this place. They have a nice variety of toppings and all of the ingredients were fresh. You can do build your own poke bowls or they also have cooked meat bowls along with some appetizers. I'd try it again but it wasn't my favorite poke.

Best place in KC for Poké. I started eating Poké because I tried it here. Then I tried the orange chicken and it is now my go to lunch spot when I’m in the area. The staff knows me now haha! 🤣.

The food was ok, in my opinion. I feel as though when the menu they offer suggests offering more broth; take it!!! 😅 this business can really take it easy on the sauce 😏. Amazing atmosphere to relax and have a peaceful conversation and get full 😊. I l9ve how clean the place is and not too crazy on the prices. I didn't like how slow the service was, but nonetheless; I wouldn't let that sway you from trying this business out 👌🏾

without exaggeration- this was the worst poke I’ve ever had in my life. And I’ve tried many across different states and cities. Rice was so mushy and all glued together like soup almost, there was a lot of water from it on the bottom and lacked salt. Fish wasn’t that good either, it was all just tasting super lukewarm and nasty… I would never come here again unless they can make their food actually taste good. It was my first time here and I’ve literally never had it this bad anywhere! i really hope this is not their norm. Workers and Asian cashier lady seemed polite tho.
