PKSA Karate Bloomfield

I’m extremely impressed with the progress my child has made in this karate class! Has quickly grasped the basics and have already progressed through two levels, showing tremendous improvement. The class format is structured and efficient, and it's clear that discipline is emphasized, which I really appreciate. What stands out the most is how friendly and approachable the teachers are. They create a fun and engaging environment that makes learning enjoyable for the kids. It’s also a wonderful touch that the teachers take the time to remember each student by name—it's these little things that really make a difference and make my child feel valued. I am looking forward for my child to develop discipline, confidence, and learn karate in a supportive, fun setting!

Absolutely love this place! I enrolled my daughter 7 weeks ago and watching her progression has been amazing!!! EVERY instructor is amazing in all of their own ways!!! Seeing how they reach out to each child individually and learn the child they are teaching is truly outstanding! Can’t wait to watch my daughter’s progression; ( as I can see how much she loves it! ) and get to know the PKSA family more as well!

My middle child and I started classes at PKSA Bloomfield in September 2022. I love seeing my son in the Little Ninjas class! He has fun while learning self-defense, listening skills, respect for the instructors, himself, and the other students. The inexpensive add-on cost for parents to train is wonderful! As we grow together we will be able to train together and I really look forward to making memories together at PKSA Bloomfield!

We have been incredibly happy with PKSA Bloomfield. Ashley is amazing and so informative helping get registered and sending out reminders for testing, orders etc. The instructor is awesome with students. He is so patient and builds great confidence in the students. My son loves it and I just signed up my daughter. Highly recommend!!

My son has been coming here for almost a year now and we recently celebrated his 6th birthday here as well! We already knew we loved the classes, and were excited to share one of his favorite activities with his friends. Unsurprisingly, the party was a huge hit! The guests were treated to a karate class that involved them running, jumping, kicking, punching, and even breaking wooden boards! The whole time the Shruga family was there making sure everything ran smoothly. It was probably the easiest birthday party I have ever thrown for one of my kiddos! I cannot recommend this studio enough for either a class or for a birthday party!

This program is so amazing! Ashley is amazing at communicating through email and in person. The Shruga family is very welcoming! Ashley and James work very well with the children. The students are taught self defense, personal space, determination and self control and so much more! In 6 weeks we noticed a huge positive change in our daughters behavior both at home and school. One of the classes also introduced strange danger. I highly recommend this program to children of any age!

The instructor, Mr. Shruga, is a pro at diffusing and redirecting the silliness of the youngest ninjas in a kind manner. We tried another studio before PKSA and my 5 year old twin boys didn’t respond nearly as well as they do at PKSA. I love that they teach the kids about the cultural aspects of the art including Korean language. My kids love the obstacle courses Mr. Shruga sets up. In comparison to the other studio, I feel my boys get a lot more out of a 30 minute lesson and their membership pricing is very competitive. Give it a shot, your kids will be hooked after their initial private lesson!
