Ono Hawaiian BBQ

I came here because I got a coupon in the mail, this is an order at the counter then sit to eat place. I did takeout and it took about 10 minutes to get my food, they have sauces available to take from a little bar near the drink station. The food was good but nothing outstanding, and even with a half off coupon my order for a plate and drink still cost nearly $16. I’d probably go back if I got another coupon but otherwise I could make a similar meal at home.

I don't go to Delano often but I like to eat here when I do . I ordered the lunch plate with Teriyaki Chicken Over Some Cooked Veggies, White Rice, Macaroni Salad. It Was Delicious. Nice And Fresh. And I Got A Small Drink Since It's Refillable. Clarissa..The Young Lady That Took Our Order Helped Us Choose The Right Meal With What We Wanted To Eat. She Was Very Nice. The Eating Area Is Big And They Had Places To Eat Outside Too. We Ordered Right Away There Was No Line And It Didn't Take Long To Get Our Food. All And All Our Experience There Was Great. When I'm Back In Delano I'm Gonna Eat Here Again. Thank You.

Located on Mooney Blvd across from College of Sequoias and right next door to Dutch Bros. Nice outdoor patio area with lots of seating and small tables. The menu is largely displayed and there are also QR codes throughout to make it easier to order ahead of time. There are plenty of condiments available next to the soda fountain (self serve). The temperature inside the restaurant was colder than I expected, it was a winter night to begin with but some places must keep cooler temperatures to adhere to safety policies; it was a little too cold for me. Food was hot and came in disposable containers on a tray. Large portions of meat or chicken, a scoop of rice and about a cup of macaroni salad comes on plate orders. You can order items a la carte as well. Staff was friendly and very busy. 2 all gender restrooms toward the back of the restaurant. Cola products available or there is also a small fridge stocked with sodas and bottled water. The rice was cooked perfectly and I liked the macaroni salad, it has a very different taste compared to other macaroni salads. The meat and chicken was tender however there were quite a few chewy nerve like pieces or fatty parts on the chicken. Sauces are good and the packets of hot sauce are tangy but not too spicy.

Yum! We went in yesterday, 6/3/25. We ordered what we wanted, paid, got our cups. It was just a few moments and our food was ready. My bestie had the teriyaki chicken, rice and salad. I had the shrimp combo. The salad with edamame, cabbage, and some bomb salad dressing. I love the rice. After stuffing ourselves we used the facilities. They were super clean. Myra, was awesome! So helpful and happy. We highly recommend this awesome place and the awesome people that work there.

Don't walk, RUN! I don't know if I was just starving or this place really HITS. The food was delicious ! We got the Hawaiian BBQ Mix and boy was it a treat! It comes with the Kalbi Short Ribs, Teriyaki Chicken, and Hawaiian BBQ Beef? (Not sure, sorry! The menu didn't specify) but I'm guessing those 3! Also came with rice, Mac salad, and lots of cabbage which I'm not a fan of but it went well with the meal. Service was friendly and ambiance is relaxed. Would definitely definitely come here again, next time for their seafood 🙂 come thru!

Tried their food on a Saturday afternoon. Second day of being open. A friend bought a plate over to me. I ordered the mini plate of their Island Fire Chicken that came with one scoop of rice, macaroni salad and cabbage. A mini plate would be good enough to order for one person. The size was pretty good for the price. The seasoning used on the chicken was very good. Get a nice kick from the heat, along with some earthy spice. The chicken had a weird texture to it. Almost like tasting octopus. On top of that they leave the muscle on there, so there's some wasted portion on the chicken. The macaroni salad was pretty plain, but I didn't get any tuna in it (which the online menu said it had), the rice was good and I felt like the cabbage had no purpose to being there. Probably to neutralize any flavors, but didn't serve it's purpose. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with the food. I really enjoyed the Island Fire seasoning used, but that's about it. Don't know if I'd go back unless they improve on the chicken used for this plate.

Absolutely delicious food. Very fresh and light. A bit silly to note but they even put a smiley face on the receipt and I thought it was a nice touch. Will eat here again.
