I've had a baby here, been hospitalized, and experienced the er both for me and my baby. The birth experience was great! I felt relaxed (considering) and confident in the team's abilities. We had great postpartum nurses that really made the experience special. Lots of special touches and great facilities, and honestly I thought the food was pretty good if you know what to order (omelets!). I think you'll be hard pressed in this day and age to find an ER with comfortable waiting rooms and low wait times, but I felt it isn't that bad compared to some other places. They seem to actively monitor the situation in the waiting room, the triage is efficient, and some of the er nurses were super kind.

I went here for an emergency room visit after a car accident. I'm sure that went just fine. Eventually I gave the billing office the claim number for payment. However, they needed more information. I kept getting automated texts and calls. I knew better than to call them back, because I knew it would turn into an hour long ordeal. However, I had a day off of work and decided to give them a call. The first person told me they needed the address to where the claim needed to be sent. So, I called the insurance company and they gave me that address and also told me there was no one assigned specifically to the claim. They gave me a phone number to give the hospital in case they had any questions. I called North memorial back and attempted to give the information that I had gotten. But the person I talked to insisted that they needed the name of the agent assigned. Well there was no agent assigned. I asked them if I needed to call back to get someone who would take the address information from me in. They just wanted to argue. So I called back again and sat on hold for maybe 8 minutes, before the call disconnected. So I called back again, and finally got someone who did sound like they knew what they were doing. But instead of taking the address information that I had called to give them, they decided to educate me on the process and on what information they generally need and why the most recent person had been arguing with me apparently. This would be fine and dandy if I hadn't already wasted 45 minutes of my day. Next time they may want to consider, that the reason I'm mad is that I'm on the phone still. That I had to waste 45 minutes of my day and that I'm still wasting time by talking to them. They may be wonderful people. But I didn't want to waste 45 minutes getting this information to them. So I simply hung up while she was explaining things to me. And no, they never did get the address from me. I'm sure they will not miss the money. It's not that much. Please respect people's time in the future.

I gave birth here at the end of 2024. The only reason I am writing this review now is because my doula informed us that the nurse we dealt with did not face any consequences and is still at Maple Grove delivering babies. A fair warning to new moms, if the nurse that is inducing you does not or has not read your birth plan, ask for a new nurse. If the nurse you were assigned also questions how you would like to feed baby, get a new nurse. If the nurse you were assigned disregards the pain you were in and gives you alternative options than what you discussed with the hospital nurse navigator as well as during the tour (Morphine and a sleeping pill) and disregards if you could have any allergies, get a new nurse. If the nurse you have assigned to you goes missing... And your husband has to search up and down the Halls to find someone because you are in double or triple contractions and you just want to avoid this woman at all cost because every time she enters the room she treats you like less than, or tells you 'this is how we did it in the 80s' get a new nurse. If the nurse you were assigned strips away the entire sheet to check you so that you are on full display or forces you into a check, again, get a new nurse. If your nurse's name is Jackie, get a new nurse. I didn't have a voice in my moment in time, and we did have follow-up calls regarding what happened. I was justified in the fact that the nurse did do harm, and the nurses station saw. I was in double and triple contractions, but nobody did anything. I was also informed had the woman we talked to been my nurse she would have been on top of things and called the doctor about 6 hours earlier. That gave me some justification. At shift change. I was able to get an epidural, and it was at 9 cm. Thank God for those doctors, nurses and that anesthesiologist who pushed my night nurse out of the room. They worked fast and were absolutely incredible in ensuring that the rest of my stay was good. That is the only reason I am giving two stars. I am traumatized but also grateful for those that followed up in my care and helped me give birth for the first time. I hope that Maple Grove does better and this doesn't happen again to anybody else, especially new moms who don't feel they have a voice because they don't know what they don't know.

While visiting my brother at his request, my elderly mother—who requires physical assistance to ambulate—was escorted into his hospital room. Hospital staff then informed the rest of our family that we were not permitted to wait in the lobby while she was inside the room. Despite calmly explaining that our mother was currently in the patient’s room and that she requires assistance, hospital security was called on us without justification. We were not disruptive, threatening, or in violation of any hospital policy. The situation was further and unnecessarily escalated when hospital security called the police on us. This occurred even after we clearly explained our circumstances and our concern for our mother’s safety. The security officer explicitly stated that he "did not care" and ordered us to leave the premises and wait in our vehicle. The decision to involve law enforcement was unjustified, intimidating, and deeply inappropriate, particularly in a healthcare setting and given the presence of an elderly individual who requires assistance. This escalation caused significant emotional distress to our family and created an unsafe and hostile environment. We strongly believe that this treatment was the result of profiling and discrimination based on our appearance. Families visiting hospitalized loved ones should not be subjected to threats, removal, or police involvement without cause.

We recently welcomed our baby at North Memorial Health – Maple Grove Hospital, and I cannot put into words how grateful I am for the care my wife received. From the moment we arrived, the entire team made us feel supported, safe, and truly cared for. The doctors and nurses were simply amazing — compassionate, attentive, and incredibly professional. A very special thank you to Hannah and Emily, who went above and beyond to make sure my wife was comfortable and well cared for during such an important moment in our lives. Their kindness and dedication will never be forgotten. I cannot thank this hospital enough for the wonderful experience they gave us. If you are looking for a place where you and your family will be treated with genuine care, respect, and compassion, I highly recommend Maple Grove Hospital.

Finally getting around to writing a review! I gave birth here in July and had THE best nurses. They were so informative, helped so much with breastfeeding and any questions I had. Never made me feel like I was a bother no matter how many times I hit the call button. One nurse in particular was literally a god send. I believe her name was nurse Annie. Thank you. I appreciate you. I think about you and how helpful you were to me in my most vulnerable moments. I wish I could thank you in person. Hopefully this can get passed on to her.

We had our second baby here and it’s been great. Our nurse was named Caryl and she was excellent! Top tier patient service the whole way through. Thank you Caryl
