McLaren Greater Lansing

I had a great experience at McLaren. I was well taken care of by the staff, and the wait time in the emergency room was not long at all. All of my tests were completed promptly, and I was able to leave in a timely manner. Overall, the care was efficient and professional, and I truly appreciated how smooth the entire visit was.

I am always greeted as soon as I get to reception. The ladies are polite and professional. My wait time is always reasonable. The Medical Assistants are helpful and proficient in their job. Dr. La Freniere explains the reason for medications, tests, and procedures in a way that is easy to understand. I would recommend this practice fir your pulmonary needs.

First, I was able get be scheduled for a cat scan within a few days. Then I got there extra early because it’s winter and I was unsure of the roads and traffic. They still got me back right away and had an IV ultrasound tech waiting for me because I requested one When I made the appointment. She was quick and efficient, friendly and I was in and out of there before I think my actual appointment time! I was very impressed with the quality of care. On top of that they had an MSU credit union there and a coffee shop so I was able to kill three birds with one stone for my errands that day. The facility was clean and well-maintained and updated. No complaints here! 10/10!

I have had the opportunity to use the medical imaging services at McLaren Imaging Center in Lansing a number of times--always with great success. The most recent occasion was an MRI on my shoulder. As in the past, the experience was flawless. The entire staff--from reception to the Imaging professionals treat all patients with great care, kindness, patience, and absolute professionalism. I would high recommend this facility to anyone requiring medical imaging.

Excellent service. All staff was friendly & helpful. Didn't have to wait long; they were on time. My procedure went fast. Excellent services by the medical staff. It's a beautiful facility & easy to get to. I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone.

Only bad experience I had was the pre-op nurse sneezing and snuffing her nose and NOT PUTTING ON A MASK!! Also was very high on herself because of the previous days 5 patients iv starts on first try, BUT FAILED ON BOTH TRIES TO THE BACK OF MY HANDS!!! Good thing Scotty was working, first try in my forearm. Have had over 30 procedures requiring an IV start and most have been in my arm not back of hand veins that ‘y’ and can be difficult as she stated WHILE NOT PUTTING ON A MASK

They saved my life but I was left with lots of bruises, cuts and a sore on my leg that had fluid in it and no one could tell me how I got it. They also never told me I still had a stitch in my groin when I was discharged they didn’t give me the information for the pulmonary doctor that just opened up his practice because I would rather go to him than to get my care from people that I haven’t worked with before. Most of the nurses in the ICU were lovely and very helpful I was on a ventilator for 5 days sedated and when I woke up I had a hard time being mobile. This one nurse named Natira was super rude and acted like me asking for assistance was such a chore. She left me on the bedpan for more than 30 minutes at a time and she would get people to help her move me and then they also would stop helping. There also is a ICU nurse I can’t remember her name but she was petite with blue eyes and she would complain at the nurses station about her paycheck and having to do any work or help other nurses. There were a couple of times she came into my room and she acted like I was stupid. Some of these nurses do not belong taking care of critically ill patients. The doctors in the ICU were amazing and listened to my concerns and respected my wishes and let me ask all the questions I had and I really appreciated all of them. When I told the icu doctor what the one nurse did he made sure I never got her again which I really appreciated that. When I finally got to a normal floor all of the nurses were amazing and checked up on me all the time and made sure I had every need met. Hospital food was not the best and I hated that I never got to choose my meal I just got whatever they gave me but I will not hold that against the nurses. Overall I had a really great experience and trust this hospital more than I do Sparrow. I went to Sparrow a week before I got so sick and if they would have taken me seriously I feel I would have never been in the position where I needed to be put on a ventilator to save my life. Thank you to all the amazing doctors and nurses who treated me like a human and the one nurse who helped wash my hair and tried her best to make me feel better about being in the hospital.
