Maruichi Japanese Grocery

Overall, this is a great market with lots of products from Asia packed on its shelves. We bought some candy, milk tea, and fluffy hotcake mixes. We also got onigiri. It was fine but not as good as Rice Market in D.C.

Great store. Amazing wix of unique and interesting food home goods and prepared food.

I like this Japanese grocery store. You can find a lot of items in this small store. I like the wide collection of noodles. A tip is to use Google lens to translate. I ended up getting edamame,green tea soba noodles, canned makeral and tofu!

A small store, with a large selection of quality items. The cashier was also extremely nice. I love their selection of decanters and sake sets. Beautiful ceramic selection.

We've been taking our elderly aunt shopping at Maruichi's for several years as she is able to find all of her native products. The staff is very friendly, they carry a wide selection of items, and their prices are competitive with other stores. Highly recommend Maruichi for your Japanese food and household items.

So Maruichi main entrance is actually on the backside of the Talbot Center. Tho it looks like it's on the second floor of the center from the front, but if you head up Talbot Street there is another driveway to have access to the legit front of Maruichi ( if that makes sense ). I am a Sushi Chef based in San Diego and I needed to source some Japanese products while in Rockville for a friends birthday party. The store is Awesome, the staff very personable, and it had everything I needed to do a sushi bar party, including fish. Definitely gonna give them a heads up on ingredients I may need, next time I'm in town for another sushi party. Pic- wasn't able to get a sushi case in time while I was there, but built a make shift sushi bar with what my friends have at their place. Lots of ice and coolers used

The prices here are a bit higher than your average asian grocery store, but it was still fun to look around and explore. While they sell mostly food products, there were also some cosmetics and cooking/cleaning tools.
