Main Beauty Supply

I have been going to Main Street Beauty for years. Yesterday I purchased 5 lip glosses and when I got home to test them, one looked like it was used and half the product was gone. I took it back to exchange (with receipt) and was basically accused of trying to cheat them out of a $1.99 lip gloss. I have spent over $100 per visit when I re-stock my supplies. It definitely wasn’t about the $2, but the way it was handled and a lack of customer service and repeat customer respect. Main Beauty Supply will never receive any of my hard earned money.

Second time coming here years apart thinking it would be better and I was followed through the store the entire time- again. I paid for my goods and then proceeded to let them know how bad the experience was. They will literally stand right behind you isle to isle. Talking about "just there to help" 🙄

11/14/24 I normally don't write reviews. I had the worst experience today. I have shopped here before and actually had the freedom to shop and make decisions without a shadow following me around, signaling to each other and mumbling to each other in TWI in the name they are there to help. One lady actually stood at the door waiting for me to cash out. The cashier seemed flabbergasted. I was able to pay the $7.43. I understand they deal with theft, but that was a little too much. PS. If you don't mind being followed around you can shop there.

I shop here because the prices are good and they are really helpful, I figure either because they WANT to give great customer service or because they think you're going to steal something, not sure which. I would NEVER steal anything ever but you kinda get the feeling you're being watched the whole time you're shopping. Maybe they have had probs w/people stealing before but I wish they understood that not everyone of color is a thief. Just saying....... God bless y'all! 🙏😇

I come here for my press on nails they carry my favorite ones. But omg I hate the way they legit follow you throughout the store… it’s insane. And not to mention how freezing it was in there. Staff all had winter coats scarves and hats on cause of how cold it was…. I couldn’t shop comfortably…

If there were an option for 0 to negative stars this place would be first in line. I had to go to this establishment 3 separate times in a matter of 2 hours because of their inadequacy to do their jobs. First customer service is below the depths of hell one can’t even reach. I showed a hairstyle I was interested in doing and was pointed to a section of hair that was $60 I specifically asked if the salon said it was incorrect if I could return it I was told yes. I purchased when to the salon to find out it was the wrong one. I went back only to be told I can only receive store credit. And I should use to purchase the other type of hair the redirected and sold me the incorrect hair AGAIN along with 3 packets of them being CHILDS hair. The amount of the new purchase was still less than the original purchase and again was told I can only have store credit after the salon told me the hair was incorrect again I was pissed went back to the store trying to just return it all nope no refund of any kind except store credit but WHY THE HELL WOULD I WANT STORE CREDIT TO A BUSINESS WHO CANT EVEN DO THEIR JOBS! Asked for managers number employee gave store card number like I’m stupid. Don’t purchase anything from this terribly run establishment unless you like your money being stolen. Will return to speak to owner.

I love this beauty supply store. I braid my own hair and I frequent this store at least once or twice a month. They have great customer service such as helping the customer try on wigs, advice on hair type and hair products. Prices are reasonable and the store is very well maintained and stocked.
