Los Angeles Mission College

In-person classes are great. Their online classes are NOT good at all. I had to attend another school to get the units I needed in-person classes.

Unfortunately, my experience with this school—specifically for online courses—has been disappointing. I’ve taken classes at two other campuses that were much more accommodating and supportive of student needs. In contrast, this school seems less flexible and makes processes unnecessarily difficult. I live over an hour away, and having to do tasks such as, turn in a paper in person poses a real challenge. While other institutions have worked with me based on my circumstances, this one has not shown the same willingness. I regret having to switch my home campus here. If your major is online and you live far from campus, I would strongly advise against enrolling—unless you’re able to manage the commute regularly. My experience may not be yours. Just a heads up.

Great college to get an education and receive your AA Degree in Family studies, Business, Criminal Justice, culinary arts and ect. They also provide many programs for students such as EOPS, DSPS, FAFSA. Some of the staff are very helpful and friendly with your needs in applying for these programs. They provide a welcoming environment and are knowledgeable in their work field such as Ms. Maria Garcia, Ashley T., Tatiana, Abigail T. Ashley, Michael Griggs. Let's not forget the amazing counselor by the name of Ms Avalos Nije that knows what she is doing in regards to the path and journey of your career. Bottom line is an exceptional school to enroll in.

Back in 2015 My high school talked very highly of this college especially for Disable student program but it wasn't even close to what they said. There so called ds program don't even help there students with there messed up instructor. They don't even care about the disabilities students have, well especially for me that is. The multimedia department is a joke. To that teacher your are a disappointment.

Counseling office is honestly a mess. You have to call a week in advance during certain hours to set up an appointment with a counselor. They do walk-ins but they're so pointless when they end up dismissing you because they can't help you with much since its just a walk in. I wish they would improve by creating a system where you're able to meet with counselors easily. They don't seem to care for students needs or give excellent service. Some of the receptionists can be so unhelpful too. If you find them in a good mood or they seem to like you, its unbelievable how easily they're able to get things done. I really hope this school hears back on the many complains and hires new staff and counselors that care to help and will do their job.

Every single semester, it doesn’t fail!! Administration, registration and counseling are so unorganized. I’m convinced the administration at LA Mission College is purposely set up to deter students from enrolling. From searching for a class online, to calling in registration and counseling for assistance or questions. It’s an excruciating process that just leaves you drained. If you’re a new student or part-time student, just hang in there!!! Don’t let this college’s mismanagement get to you, pursue your education! No matter how many unnecessary obstacles are put in your way. LAMC you disappoint me every single semester!!!! I wish i had time to enroll at another college like Glendale Community College or College of the Canyons.

Do yourself a favor, attend another college! this "college" is a mess all around. They are doing an injustice to the community. I apologize but Georgina and Diana are the worst. They give students the run around with their classes and they never respond to emails on time and when they do it’s weeks after. Because of this many students don’t graduate on time or don’t get to attend the UC or CSU they want! Maybe they should look for another field of work because I can tell that they treat this field as just another job.
