L'Academy Language Immersion Preschool & Infant Daycare Elk Grove

We initially chose L’Academy for its convenient location, close to freeway, but we have gained so much more than proximity. Our primary concern was that our daughter, at the age of three, was not talking in clear words and we thought she might need speech therapy; this was mentioned on the walk-in tour that director at the time, Ms. Esther gladly walked us through. Within three months of joining the preschool program, her language skills improved significantly, and she began speaking in full sentences. We are incredibly appreciative of the dual-immersion program. It has helped our daughter become more fluent in Spanish, our primary language, and she has even learned to sing and count from 1 to 20 in Mandarin. While it is bittersweet that she will be leaving halfway through the year to begin kindergarten, we feel she is exceptionally well-prepared—if not advanced—thanks to the dedication of the teachers and director. We have had such a positive experience at L’Academy. Our child started there at 10 months old, so we have been part of both the infant room and the older classroom, and both have been wonderful. Leaving your baby for the first time is hard, but the infant teachers made us feel comfortable right away. They were gentle, attentive, and clearly cared about the children. The space is always clean and well kept, which gave us real peace of mind. As our child moved up, we have seen so much growth in confidence and social skills. We also really value that L’Academy offers Spanish and Mandarin language immersion. It has been amazing to see our child naturally pick up words and feel comfortable with multiple languages at such a young age. The teachers are kind and engaged, and the director is very involved and present. You can tell she genuinely cares about the children and the families. We are very grateful we found L’Academy. It has been a great experience for our family.

We are so grateful to have found this preschool for our daughter in EG! First, the environment is new, clean, and incredibly spacious. The high ceilings provide great ventilation, and the school is cleaned and disinfected daily. This has honestly been the most important factor for us. In the year and a half that our daughter has attended, she has never caught any contagious illness from classmates — which feels almost unbelievable for a preschool setting. Second, huge kudos to the amazing director, Ms. Quynh! She is truly passionate and deeply dedicated to creating a nurturing, positive learning and playing environment for the kids. She communicates with parents in such a warm and constructive way, listens to their concerns, and works collaboratively to support each child. You can really feel how much she cares. The school also does a wonderful job keeping things fresh and engaging. Toys are updated and rotated regularly, so my daughter never gets bored. They offer weekly music and martial arts classes, giving the kids exposure to different activities. Every day, the children create new crafts and projects — often the kind of wonderfully messy, creative activities that are hard to manage at home! The teachers give them the freedom to explore and express themselves. We also love their trilingual program and diverse student body, with children who speak different languages at home. The school celebrates major Asian American and Spanish heritage holidays, along with traditional U.S. holidays, giving kids meaningful exposure to different cultures from an early age. Lastly, the teachers are incredibly caring and responsible. They truly make the school a safe, loving, and happy place for the children. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and highly recommend this preschool to any family looking for a nurturing and enriching environment. 💛

Sending your two year old to daycare was nerve wracking, but two years later, we couldn't be happier. Thanks to the wonderful staff at L'Academy Elk Grove, our child has gained the social skills, emotional regulation, and academic foundation needed to thrive in TK.

What a great addition to childcare options in this area! The director at this L'Academy location, Ms. Esther, is wonderful. She was an ECE teacher for many years and has young children of her own, so you KNOW that she's not just another disengaged administrator. Ms. Esther is so invested in making sure each classroom is optimized for childhood development and ensuring that the students at this center are happy and thriving. My daughter had Ms. Esther as a teacher in preschool and absolutely adored her. As a parent, I always found Ms. Esther to have such a reassuring and professional demeanor. She always handled issues in the classroom calmly and was prompt in communicating with parents and making herself available for listening to questions or concerns. She is someone who puts in 110% into whatever she does, which is how I know that the future is bright for this new L'Academy center!
