I’ve been to this salon twice now and had two very different experiences. The first time I went I had a really great experience, for context I have naturally curly hair and my first time going I felt like we talked a lot about my hair type and how I wanted my hair to look, the stylist talked me through the whole process and used a diffuser, I left with curly hair which I love. My experience this past Friday was different, they did get me in pretty last minute which I appreciated, but the stylist I was with was less communicative. Didn’t really ask me about my hair type, only asked questions about Christmas plans and such which I didn’t mind for the actual shampoo and cut because we had a brief discussion about what I generally wanted done. But when it came time to style, before I realized it, the stylist was making an effort to fully straighten my hair. I’ve had this happen to me in the past having curly hair and going to salons so I tried to take it with a grain of salt and put trust in that professional because I’d had such a great experience before and figured there may be a reason, I left slightly upset just because I hate how I look with my hair straight but I didn’t have time in my schedule that day to stay and have anything redone or to address it. I figured it would be fine and go back to curling well after I washed it again at home, but it hasn’t and I believe it may have to do with a product that was used on my hair in the process of straightening it and/or fact that certain areas of my hair may have been thinned out in the cutting and styling process. Next time I’d probably just book further in advance and ask specifically for a stylist who has curly hair or has slightly more knowledge of curly hair. It was just the general lack of communication from my stylist I had this last time that kind of troubled me, it felt like they were cutting straight hair and not my hair and I’m still not 100% about how it looks or my lack of curls right now. I don’t write this review in a hateful way because the staff is very nice as far as I can tell, my stylist was very nice and easy to talk to about general life. But the lack of communication combined with the fact that I wasn’t facing the mirror as my styling was happening made me feel like I didn’t have much of a chance to give my own input. I write this review to encourage curlier haired individuals to do their due diligence in making sure you book far enough in advance and advocate for a stylist who understands your hair type while scheduling for the outcome you want.

Sue is an outstanding stylist! She created the perfect look I was going for. She’s also friendly and highly knowledgeable regarding her profession. Likewise, the receptionists are incredible! They greeted me warmly, offered me coffee, tea, etc., and they answered each of my questions expertly and with a smile on their faces. I LOVE Illusion Color Spa!!!

Hayden did a great job with a total change cut and color. The salon is clean, comfortable and water/coffe/tea are available for the patrons. All ages welcome. I was fortunate enough to have my appointment on Halloween, which was a fun environment! Great salon. I hadn't had a haircut and color for over 3 years. Next visit will be 1/3 of the cost.

Jaden did an amazing job on my hair! Everyone was pleasant and kind, and greeted us as we entered! Our first experience here left us feeling lovely and relaxed! {I brought my adult daughter with me on this visit}

I’m not sure why my original review was removed, but I wanted to share my experience. I had my eyebrows microbladed here, and unfortunately it ended up being one of my biggest beauty regrets. The initial technician chose a color that looked unnatural and didn’t match my hair at all. When I called to address the issue, I was told my follow-up would be with a different technician. She did improve things, but the overall results were still disappointing. They may be excellent with hair, but based on my experience, microblading does not seem to be their strong suit. That said, everyone I interacted with was genuinely kind and sweet.

Stephanie is a real pro! She took the time to analyze my hair and asked me all the questions to figure out exactly what I was hoping to achieve. The outcome was absolute perfection!! I am BEYOND thrilled with the results!

I booked an appointment through Color Illusion Spa’s website expecting to pay the clearly listed price of $70, but when I showed up for my appointment, I was told it would actually cost $180. There was no warning, no explanation online, and no attempt to honor the price I booked at. This felt extremely misleading and unprofessional, and it wasted my time. If the prices on your website aren’t accurate, they shouldn’t be posted at all. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend booking unless you want an unpleasant surprise at checkout.
