Shawn and Sam took such great care of me! They gave great consultations based on my concerns and recommended products to get the age-appropriate look I wanted. Last week I received a call from Blue Mercury inviting me to their Holiday Shopping Party. I loved the personal and intentional effort on the part of their customer service to reach out to long time customers to inform them of an upcoming sale. However, that feeling quickly disappeared when I went into my local Blue Mercury today at the Woodlands Market Street. There were 3 employees on duty and I was the only shopper. I was essentially ignored my entire time in the store. I was not greeted, asked if I needed assistance, nor even acknowledged when I decided not to make my purchase because of their rudeness. At one point I was looking at the Chantecaille display and an employee was less than a foot away from me on her phone and never acknowledged me. It was like I didn’t even exist in the store. With that said, I was still going to go through with my purchase, but my husband was insistent that he would not give a sale to people who won’t even acknowledge me. Since we were the only people in the store, this entire conversation was audible enough to be heard by the employees and we were still ignored. People have many places they can spend their money, and I think it’s a shame that this store would rather lose a sale than extend the proper customer service by being courteous and friendly.

I recently was at The Woodlands store and was helped by a woman named Mary. She was so sweet and helpful. I came in with a problem with my current makeup routine and Mary was so helpful in finding me the products that would work best with my skin type and mitigate my problem. Another woman named Sam was also there who offered some additional advice as well (also super helpful and nice.) With employees like Mary and Sam, you will create repeat customers for years.
