Elegance Spa - San Jose

I don’t recommend this place! The facility isn’t pleasant, the carpet is filthy and I had a hard time breathing faced down with the air quality. The masseuse placed her phone near the bottom of my feet so it kept buzzing which was very distracting and also the massage oil, felt like she was just tossing down and it was hitting my feet. While getting the massage you can hear the staff talking and laughing in the lobby or walking by. The staff are very unprofessional with tipping. I gave 20% and they said they wanted more and said a minimum of 25% was more acceptable. I felt uncomfortable being ambushed at the end of my massage and left feeling uneasy of the whole experience.

I only feel positive vibes when I visit and always leave feeling better than I did before. Enough said? Very accommodating. I don’t think the other reviews here accurately reflect the service I’ve experienced consistently. They should be at least above the 4 star range.

Actual massage last no more then 45-50 minutes when you paid for 60 minutes at Elegance Spa - San Jose. They clock you in when you arrive at the front desk and finish massage early as well. Confirmed with different therapists and several visits in the past.

Went in for a 4 hand massage, both therapist acted like it was there first day on the job. They focused on massaging one part of my back and instead of focusing on different areas. I dont recommend.

I had a 90 min massage w Bonnie. They did not change the massage table linens & face holder and I got a huge eye infection from the cloth on the face holder being dirty and the opening rubbing against my face. I was concerned that they didn't have disposable tissues for the face holder but I assumed wrong that they cleaned between customers. Its been 1 week and my eye is still swollen, red, fluid underneath and in a bag, with a bacteria infection. Photos are 4 days after. Symptoms developed that evening. Beware.

Massage was decent. Very hard pressure which I’m used to as athlete but this is pretty hard….asked to focus on legs, she spent majority of time in back…took payment before massage started then at end demanded tip. I left more than 10% tip and they kept asking for more. This isn’t tip, it’s forcing someone to pay. Not a nice situation and won’t be back due to this attitude. Sad

Place is clean. Before we went in for 90 minutes session, we asked specifically if hot stone was included since it says on the brochure at the front desk that it was included and the front desk lady said yes. Then after the session I didn’t get my hot stone and asked my masseuse about it she just said sorry they didn’t have it and she forgot … by then I was a little confused so went to ask the front desk lady she said " oh if you want it you have to request it and let the masseuse know" but if it says included why would the customer have to request??? And why didn’t she mention that upfront? We felt like it was a scam and seems fishy. Plus I was cold the whole time in the room, my husband’s massage was just so so… lots of just rubbing, not so much deep tissue like we had requested. Not going back again. Plus the price is not even correct on their brochure, the price has increased but beware because they will not honor whatever they advertise.
