US 1 Massage and Spa

It took my friend here three minutes to, not only pinpoint where the pain in my arm WAS originating from, but to ELIMINATE it, as opposed to FOUR different doctors and multiple physical therapist to; who by the way still haven't figured it out. The Lord provides in ways that aren't always traditional, but hey, I'll take his help and his BLESSING (which this place is) any way he wants to give it!! She even gave me exercises to do at home to help with my arm. And now that I know exactly where it originates from somewhere where I would never even imagine. I know moving forward.What has to be done?Thank you so so much againmy friend!! 🙏 thank you so much

My husband did a one hour massage. Towards the end he wanted to leave early she was touching his hair and face he didn’t like that. She asked if he wanted his legs massaged he said no. She said she would get in trouble by her boss if he left a few mins early. That her boss would want $20 from her which doesn’t make sense.

I have been going here off and on for about a year and half and I had nothing but good things to say . Went recently and requested my masseuse I always have , got in room was someone different .i said no way , was told she was busy . Room was hot , sheets smelled bad and where face goes was dirty like they were not changed . I was pissed but stayed and put towel down where I laid as I was told no refund when I said I’m leaving so I figured I’ll still give it a try bad decision . Girl barely massaged me just tapped on me for like 5 min stopped left room came back 6 min later , again same thing , left again , after about 7 min . I got up and said I’m leaving . I am very disappointed and I’m sorry you have lost a long customer I’ll never come back You all really need to change some things . it’s not good . tell them don’t leave the room and attend to your customers and actually massage your client

2.5 stars would be a more appropriate score for this establishment- and that is because my wife enjoyed her massage. Full disclosure, we purchased a $99 Groupon for a 60 minute couples massage. See below: There isn’t a lot of information out there on this spa so I’ll try to be detailed. Any review of a spa experience that encompasses as much detail as will follow is an indication of the lack of relaxation achieved during the time spent there. First, location: located in a strip mall, I never judge a book by its cover, however, patrons should be aware that US 1 massage & spa shares an unfortunate neighbor in the Caribbean American Cultural Association, which played remarkably loud music for the duration of our experience, that was clearly audible through the walls. Initial impressions upon walking in, the spa is a bare-bones, no-frills operation, with not much going on in the waiting area save a front desk. I’ve been to several places like this before, and gotten very good massages, so again, I lend minimal weight to the atmosphere of the front desk- I understand overhead is expensive, so if you want to save money in entryway ambience, that is fine by me. Next impression, we were not asked to fill out any paperwork whatsoever about any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, areas to avoid, etc- which is almost universal at any reputable spa, again, unusual, but not a dealbreaker or a red flag.. brevity, I dig it. We checked in and were immediately escorted into the couples room, which was small (not a travesty) very well-lit (unusual), dead silent (very unusual) and with one chair in the corner for our belongings. We weren’t given any instructions, or a "take your time" or a "be right back". Traditionally there is at least *some* relaxing type music playing, and usually *some* type of aromatherapy going on (these things are very inexpensive to provide), but here we had neither. The room itself was very ‘numb’ feeling. Both therapists came in shortly after we took our positions on the tables, asked us what type of pressure we liked, and started the therapy. At this point I can only speak for my subjective experience with the actual massage. I’ll be brief. My jaw hurts this morning from clenching my teeth for the hour. My therapist was amateurish at best, if I had to guess she was either not trained very well, not very experienced, or at worst, unlicensed (I don’t have any evidence to support that last theory). The pressure she used was inconsistent, unusual, and bordering on painful at times. Some of the places she massaged are not places that should be massaged; brachial plexus, popliteal space, quadriceps when supine with legs flat, carotid areas of the neck, the list goes on. I also vaguely resent the fact that she spent roughly ten minutes massaging my scalp (my wife will do that for $0), and another few minutes pulling my toes (this isn’t a pedicure). My wife’s experience was better, her therapist was a male and she said she enjoyed her massage. Overall, for the price, I guess I got what I paid for, but I would *not* recommend this spa based on my experience there.

Went to get a massage with my mother and we had an amazing experience! We both got a great massage and they were very friendly. Left feeling very relaxed!! Will definitely be back!!
