Called to inquire about the gym and amenities as a new person to the area. Spoke to someone who was in the membership department and asked about the different group exercise classes and information about tennis/pickleball. She told me she could give me a tour and take the Zumba class that night, so I went and asked for her but the front desk just had me sign a waiver and sent me on my way even though I had asked for the membership person by name and mentioned our conversation earlier about the tour. I walked around the gym to discover areas by myself, such as the racquetball courts, pool area and basketball courts. I spent 20-30 minutes in the Zumba class and wanted to see what else the gym had since I didn't get the tour (and it seemed quite large) so I walked around the exercise machine area, tennis/badminton area and the second floor. I used the recovery area and the employee apologized I didn't get a tour of the gym, as well as the woman working the tennis court reservations. It seems like a nice gym, with a lot of variety of programs available for individuals and families. However, disappointed with the customer service with how nice of a place it looks like.
This place truly has it all. With four pools, including an adults-only pool featuring underwater speakers that play music as you swim, it offers a unique and enjoyable experience. The on-site café provides a nice selection of food and drinks, and the gym itself is equipped with an impressive variety of machines and workout spaces. There are plenty of exercise classes to choose from, and convenient child care services are available as well. The entire facility, from the lockers to the workout areas, is consistently clean and well maintained. If you’re searching for a new gym, this one is absolutely worth checking out.
We’ve been at the bay club for 6 months and we’re very pleased with our experience. The kids team has been so caring and kind to our children and has helped them feel comfortable and excited to come to the club. Ana is a great kids manager and has been especially welcoming to our family. We love that there is a variety of things to enjoy at the club so we can enjoy both relaxation and strength building while our kids make friends and play. This membership is a splurge for us but has been well worth the price in many ways!
Outstanding club that allows you to do different things every time. Hard to meet new people as everyone is doing their own thing. Wish spin class instructors would learn to turn down music volume. Impossible to hear instructors as the music blocks 90% of what they try to say. Other than that excellent clean and great value for money.
Bay Club Pleasanton is… fine. And honestly, that’s the problem given the ridiculous price tag. At $255/month (after yet another $15 membership increase), the experience just doesn’t match what they’re charging. They are literally the only decent gym in the area—and that’s not saying much—so they get away with price hikes I’ve never seen from any other gym. What frustrates me most is that they refuse to grandfather you into the rate you originally signed up with. I find that offensive for a place that markets itself as "high end." Yes, the facility is large, but the overall quality isn’t any different from a typical, mediocre gym. Nothing about the equipment, classes, or amenities justifies the constant increases. I genuinely hope Lifetime Fitness or Equinox eventually opens nearby to bring some real competition and force Bay Club to offer an experience that actually reflects the premium price they’re charging.
This place has everything. There are four pools including an adult only pool with underwater speakers that play music while you swim. There's a nice cafe with a range of food and drink options. And a huge selection of equipment, too. Lots of exercise classes and even child care is available onsite. The lockers and entire facility are very clean and well kept throughout. If you're looking for a new gym, definitely check this place out.
I felt completely scammed from this gym. I was paying around 40 for 24 hour before this and I thought I would be changing here for a more high end experience at $200 a month. The machines are left broken for months, the showers are dirty and water runs cold. The hours are completely ridiculous for the price tag, 7pm on the weekend?? The classes were disappointing I never felt challenged or motivated compared to other fitness classes that I have taken. I was also completely misled during the registration process, I was told that I could pause my membership at any time with no hassle because I needed to pause over the summer to leave the country. I went to pause it and was told there is a 30 day hold before pausing and then to also pay the month following the 30 days. So I just ended up paying for all of the summer instead of having a pause and decided to finally just cancel this gym.
