I really hate to have to write this review as a Black woman who wanted to patronize and support a Black woman owned business but I can not bite my tongue….I booked a treatment here through Groupon, at first it was easy to get somebody on the phone but after the initial call it was difficult to get anybody to answer the phone again but luckily all of the booking info I needed was sent through a text so I ignored the yellow flag from the communication issue and moved forward with booking. I was very excited after booking my appt and on the day of my appt I began my road trip from Orlando to Ft. Lauderdale to attend my appt but I received a text message at 9 AM that morning (my appt was scheduled for 2 PM that day) and was told that my provider had a "last minute family emergency"….😒…..the infamous "Hey Boo…" text….on a Saturday….how surprising….🙄 Immediately I’m irritated because I had a whole day planned and was already well on my way to the appt. I responded when I saw the message about 20 mins later and let them know that I was already on the road driving 3 hours to the appt and asked if I could get another provider to do the treatment and honor my appt, it took them over an hour to respond but by that point I was over it and had already turned around to go back home. At this point I was ready to cut my losses, but before I did I tried to reschedule with a different provider ("Meika" herself) which the system wouldn’t allow me to do until I cancelled my appt with the other provider that cancelled on me, but when I went to make this adjustment the website automatically charged me a $50 cancellation fee AND I couldn’t find an appt available that fit my schedule because Meika apparently doesn’t do weekends and her schedule was tight on week days so I decided to just not do the treatment here altogether and got a refund from Groupon INSTANTLY! I then asked that the $50 cancellation fee be refunded which they said they initiated on 1/10/2026 but it is now over 10 days later and the refund has yet to be initiated. I reached out after about 3 days and asked why the refund wasn’t initiated yet and was told that it was but it would take a few days to process. My bank is pretty quick with processing transactions and even if they aren’t immediately processed it usually shows on my account when a refund has been initiated. Over 10 days and they still haven’t initiated my refund, I had to dispute with my bank. I didn’t even have the opportunity to receive a service here and I know I would never want to. Yes, I want to support Black but I also want my Black dollars respected. Not sure what yall have going on over there, but the processes in place need to be refined.

My experience with Meika was awesome! I just scheduled my second Morpheus 8 treatment and I’m looking forward to seeing even more results. Meika is knowledgeable, trustworthy and overall great to be around. Go Maven studio!!

I had an RF lifting procedure for my face and neck with Meika, and I absolutely loved it! She was very professional and kind, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire session. Everything was super clean and nicely arranged. I’m very happy with the results and definitely recommend her!

Came in for my first micro needling appt and it was pure magic. The procedure was painless and had no issues after. The office is clean and cute. Meika was straight forward about pricing and open to any questions I had, which I really appreciated. No beating around the bush or surprises! I highly recommend Maven Aesthetics! My experience at Maven Aesthetics Studio has been exquisite! Meika Is very patient and offers varies skin care treatments that will leave your skin feeling rejuvenated and refreshed! She also provides aromatherapy giving each appointment a more personal/elevated experience. Highly recommend!
