Iron City Boulders

Took our 4 1/2 year old grandson. He enjoyed having a locker. Was able to climb a couple of green climbs and mastered the falling to ground and roll. He was very interested in caulk and long brush to remove it. It was good exercise and activity.

Best bouldering in Pittsburgh. Excellent routesetting with a wide range of movement and styles. Resets seem frequent enough that nothing was greasy. Grades felt precipitously harder from V6 to V7. Spacious with plenty of room for climbers to spread out, stay out of fall zones, etc. It rivals the gyms I'm used to in CA.

Very cool place. Lots of walls to climb with a variety of skill levels. Open format so room to spread out and not be on top of each other. Changing facilities are nice and kept clean. Friendly staff.

Great community, facilities are absolutely spotless, multiple walls which are changed out multiple times a month, friendly staff, vibes are good. Only nitpick is that coffee is a bit expensive. 9.6/10

I love this climbing gym! The staff are always super friendly, the gym is very well set up and always clean. They’ve got a great space that has plenty of boulder problems to keep you busy until a new set goes up. The whole gym is turned over every 6 weeks to keep the routes fresh. They also have some standard gym equipment that you can use as part of your membership which is awesome!

I went to iron city for the CWA Summit and I was impressed! I did not think a Boulder gym could hold the number of people we had for the event and it sure fit us well! The gym is spacious and well utilized - with islands and walk ways for a lot of easy movement. They have a very cool bleacher seating area leading up to their fitness space. They’ve got large locker rooms and good lockers. I enjoyed the sets I tried there, including the Grips Showcase. If I’m in Pitt again I’ll be sure to visit.

First time here! Very fun place to learn a new skill with an amazing environment!
