I had an amazing experience at Zen Head Spa! From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and attentive. I booked a head spa session, and it was absolutely incredible; deeply relaxing, soothing, and exactly what I needed to unwind. The atmosphere is serene and calming, making it easy to escape from the stress of everyday life. The team really knows their craft, and I left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and completely pampered. I highly recommend Zen Head Spa to anyone looking for a top-notch spa experience, you won’t be disappointed!
This experience was one notch above awful. I had received a Groupon as a gift and was excited to try my first head spa experience. The room was cold and the hot water was in and out- mostly out. I was freezing. I asked for the water heat to be turned up a number of times and was finally told that as the last customer of the day, the hot water heater was out. Absolutely ridiculous for a head spa. The technician used a lot of tools but hardly spent time with any of them making the whole experience feel haphazard and chaotic. The massage portion was brief and very light and when I asked for more pressure twice, she never adjusted. She used some lotion all over my face, but there was no instructions prior to the experience to wash my face so it just smeared over my makeup. Finally, the front desk person was dismissive and rude when I asked why the man I had booked with had been switched to a woman. She told me "no" and I related the whole conversation I had had with the person I booked with and she was just like- "nope" as though I was crazy. The manager did talk with me and offered some apologies. She said she had never heard there were water issues, though the front desk person had previously acknowledged that it went in an out. I don’t normally leave reviews, but I just feel like new customers should be aware. Overall, I left very disappointed and not at all relaxed.
I was very excited to get my treatment done. I had watched videos of people getting them and I was super excited but I was disappointed. The water was often cold and the scalp techniques were subpar. After the service was done my hair was so knotted I ended up loosing so much hair- mind you it was fully brushed when I went in. The esthetician was nice but the overall experience was not what I hoped
Zen Head Spa offers a truly relaxing and well-curated experience. The atmosphere is peaceful, the team is professional, and communication is thoughtful and attentive throughout the visit. It’s clear they care about creating a calming, high-quality experience that leaves you feeling refreshed and well taken care of.
Went in for a Japanese head spa with my friend yesterday our first time so we don't have much to compare it to - front desk girls were nice - water was freezing on my head which made my body cold - I did ask her to turn it up only for it to be cold again next time. I tried getting into a deep meditation and all I could hear was the water next to me from another lady getting hers done the water turning on is soooo loud. The beds are uncomfy we both left needing a professional back massage. If a few things were fixed I think it would be a cute place! There should be a single room for head spa and then a couples head spa room it's just a big open room for 3 people. Maybe heating beds like massusses have!
Not really sure where to begin. Please read to the end, I think I was recorded without my knowledge/permission and lied to when I asked about it. I went in for an introductory service and was extremely disappointed. For starters, the gua sha was completely skipped. The massage had next to no pressure. The "invigorating" scalp massage was so gentle that when I got up I realized my hair was still full of conditioner. I then had to ask for a brush so I could brush out my own sopping wet hair. The robes are full of other people’s hair. All of them. I checked and finally settled on one with only a few strands. Furthermore, the water was oscillating between tepid and lukewarm. I will say the owner did come by and heard me out. She rewashed my hair, and I can confirm her pressure was consistent with what I was expecting when I booked this service. They also gave me 50% off, but if it were my business I wouldn’t have been comfortable charging a penny for that experience. I almost didn’t leave a review, but I noticed a recording app open on the owner’s phone as I sat down for a blow dry. I asked her about it, and she told me it was the ring app so she could see what was happening in the salon. I also have ring for a business as well, and this screen did not look familiar to me. The screen I saw had a red stop/start button on it. I recognize this is a one party state, whatever, but there’s obviously cameras all over the salon so if she really had taken that extra step to record our conversation, I do find that really invasive and unnecessary. And on top of that, I don’t think I got the full truth when I asked TWICE about it. I just don’t really understand the point of lying. I know what I saw was definitely NOT the ring app. Long story short, just avoid this place. I appreciate the effort the owner made to correct things, but the whole recording thing was super strange and I’m definitely not comfortable going back here. (p.s. the smell of this shampoo is so strong it’s giving me a massive headache. I’ve already tried to wash it out and it still smells. I’m not sensitive to smell at all, so if you are this is definitely not the place for you) *EDIT* so I expected a reply. I didn’t expect the lying, slander, and defamation. As I mentioned, it’s really hard to miss all the cameras in the spa. It’s pretty obvious you’re on camera the entire time. The issue that prompted me to write a review is and always has been the voice recording, that was completely separate from the cameras. This response is disappointing, but honestly not surprising, considering I do truly believe Ms. Hansen lied to me when I asked about the additional voice recording. The continued dishonesty is really everything you need to know about Ms. Hansen and her business.
Wow. My first time and it was great! Maria was informative friendly and just her voice was relaxing. Loved the experience. It was a nice option to have everything I needed to dry and fix hair after the session.
