For how expensive this place is, it needs better upkeep for sure…people were loud, laying down watching tv on their phones, on the phone with people, etc. The food was overpriced and took forever. Thankfully they gave us tea to hold us over. They never came to refill kimchi or anything. My friend was ready to leave and asked to pay her portion (her 1 $7 item) and they told us, "No we can’t do that, you’ll have to venmo each other." If you’re going to charge as much as olympus, it needs to be a similar experience. There was no staff around to help keep the noise and phone policy. The best part was the pools and it did make me feel better about spending that much money. "The Snow Room" had a weird smell and hairballs flying around. The locker room was fine, had a lounge area, but people were in the lounge area fully nude and spread out, no towel on the couch or anything. The door to the pools was connected to the locker room, so it just felt less relaxing for sure. I wish they spent more time to curate the space rather than making the outside look all fancy. They definitely get you at first in the lobby and the outside of the building looking nice and clean and relaxing but it’s totally different inside. Just felt like a big hangout building. Wish me and my girlfriends could get reimbursed as we didn’t stay long and were thoroughly disappointed. Come here for a cheap service, sure, but the day pass is not worth it.
Trust the low reviews here, Q Sauna demonstrates its age and lack of attention to detail over years and of operation despite "dressing" themselves up with renovations. Found ants in and around my locker which staff were nonchalant regarding the issue (staff responded saying it's"not dirty"), especially concerning standards of cleanliness for a spa. No apology or discount/refund offered. Your experience here with the rooms and spa may be decent but don't expect much from a spa that doesn't particularly care enough to even give the right size clothing.
I had an incredible experience at Q Sauna & Spa. This place truly impressed me from start to finish. I booked a massage along with the 3-hour day-spa pass, but it turned into a full evening of relaxation, I arrived at 6 PM and stayed until they closed at 11 because I didn’t want to leave. The spa provided me with a uniform, a comfy pair of pants and an oversized T-shirt and I wore it the whole time. I started with a massage and it was amazing, exactly the right pressure, super calming, and the perfect way to unwind. From there, I explored everything the spa had to offer. I soaked in the hot jacuzzis, rotated through multiple sauna rooms, cooled down in the ice room, and even did a cold plunge. The hot-to-cold contrast was refreshing and made me feel brand-new. The atmosphere is peaceful, calm, and thoughtfully designed so you can really take your time and relax. The locker rooms were clean and stocked with great amenities, which made everything easy and comfortable. The staff was friendly, the space was spotless, and even with other guests around, it never felt crowded or loud. I love this place!!! it’s extremely relaxing, very well-maintained, and honestly not too pricey for the experience you get. I left feeling refreshed, calm, and completely reset. I will absolutely be coming back. If you want a quiet escape from the everyday stress and a truly peaceful spa experience, this is it. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I had a body scrub service here and it turned out to be a huge nightmare. First off, I don’t think they change the body scrub gloves for every customer. I’m extra careful cuz I don’t want to catch skin disease or allergies so I brought my own, but they refused to use it. I was already uncomfortable. Then I had the most painful body scrub in my life. I’ve done it at other spas but this was definitely the worst. The staff was very rough and ended up scraping off my skin. I ended up getting around five patches on my legs and chest, and they still burn when I shower in hot water two days later. I can’t imagine I paid $142 ($94 treatment plus tips and admission) for whatever this was. Definitely not coming back for body scrub again. I’m giving two stars only because I like their restaurant and the sauna rooms are nice.
I’ve really enjoyed this diamond in a rough Korean spa - Q spa is my all time favorite place for its saunas and hot tubs. I haven’t tried all the services but hope to do a few (scrubs, etc) in the near future. I have had a massage here and have to say I definitely will not be back for that service. They are traditional Korean style massages, they really get in there good, calm and relaxed doesn’t seem like the goal But definitely seem Therapeutic. . I felt myself tensed up for the majority and had to constantly ask her to go lighter ands less aggressive (I usually LOVE my deep massage but not this type) I’m sure it’s very helpful for some just not what I was looking for. This has been great place to relax and bond with my 20 year old daughter & friends. We love to come here as often as possible and can have this spa experience more often since its pricing isn’t crazy expensive. I really appreciate the affordability. We enjoy all the different sauna rooms, then we go to the large beautifully decorated locker + lounge room to experience the steam room and hot tubs! We love rotating between the 3 tubs all of different temperatures (warm, hot and cold) it’s the best feeling going back and forth including the cold plunge. So refreshing and rejuvenating! The showers are great as well, great water pressure! Restaurant is really good but does take a while to get whatever you order even if it’s just a drink, but it is a very nice place to sit and chat with your friends or just sip on some tea or coffee after or before you’re a spa experience. I love their mango smoothies! Yummy ** although I have enjoyed my time here there are a couple cons. They do not seem to enforce the "low inner spa voices" even I was there this last Sunday it was a new record for noise. It was pretty busy in there which it isn’t always so crowded but the noise levels were so loud. It didn’t feel like a spot felt more like being at a hotel pool / hot tub environment when the noise level is concerned, I do wish that they would put more effort into making sure people just lowered their voices so others can also enjoy their spa experience. The other thing that really irks me as there is no calming or relaxing sounds or music playing in any of the main sauna rooms. It’s an awkward silence with background fans running, and almost sounds like someone in a back kitchen. I just wish they would have more of a relaxing atmosphere with light meditation music. If that was added I would be back even more often.
I regularly go to Q Spa every month or two with a group of friends, and it’s usually a great experience. Unfortunately, today was very disappointing. We found out upon arrival that Q Spa has just implemented a 3-hour maximum stay policy. While this change alone wouldn’t have been a huge issue, the way it was handled caused major problems for our group. All of our services were scheduled between 12–3 PM, with my service at 12 PM and a friend’s at 3 PM. We arrived together at 10 AM, carpooled, and drove over an hour. We were then told that each person could only enter within 3 hours of their own service time, meaning my friend with the 3 PM appointment wasn’t allowed in until 12 PM. We were told to essentially go in one at a time (3 hours before our service) and wait outside. This would have been completely understandable if we had been informed ahead of time. However: -This policy was not mentioned during the confirmation call -There is no information on their website or social media -We booked services at different times specifically because we believed we could still spend the day together, as we always have in the past With prices already going up, I tried not to complain because Q Spa has generally been a good place. But due to the lack of communication around this new policy, we ended up canceling our services and going to Olympus Spa instead. I hope Q Spa improves communication around policy changes so loyal customers aren’t caught off guard like this again.
I've been going to Q Spa for years and love getting their services, but I'm not sure I'll be back again. They aren't able to control the noise level and, for the entirety of our four hours there today, people were talking in the hot bath area at loud decibels. The sound echoes and amplifies in that space and, although there are signs everywhere to be quiet, most people ignore them. I had to call them from a quiet space twice to come in and both times they came in and did not do much at all. I finally gave up and just accepted that it would be loud and noisy for both my daughter and me while getting services. I've been to other Korean spas that don't have this problem because they take the rule/ guideline seriously, as an inherent part of the spa experience. Q Spa needs to build a dynamic where people know that management will be enforcing quiet by coming in often and being more emphatic/ stern. It's not up to the customers to have to contact them and ask them to enforce the policy. Silence is part of the draw of coming to a spa and desperately needed for some people to feel recharged. Even if coming with friends, there are ways to have conversations in a whisper that take in the needs of others there. I was bummed out by the selfishness of the patrons, and frustrated by management's lack of care. Until management realizes this is a real problem that is up to them to fix, they'll lose loyal customers. On a side note, there were a couple of women in the spa wearing leather/ spandex training corsets around their waists in the tubs-- which management also did not seem to notice. It was kind of gross.
