Gangnam Spa Healing Paradise delivered a truly wonderful day spa experience. I honestly could have spent the entire day there, but even after 4½ hours, I managed to enjoy almost everything included with the day spa—some of it nearly twice! This was hands down one of the most relaxing birthday gifts I’ve ever received. The heated jade flooring was absolutely amazing and beautiful (unfortunately, no photo to capture it). Rotating between the cold and warm rooms was incredibly soothing, and the shrimp stir fry was surprisingly delicious. I also treated myself to a super-duper awesome 90-minute aromatherapy full-body massage and my very first facial 😀. By the end, I felt like this level of relaxation should be a monthly necessity. That said, I do have a couple of minor concerns. A few guests in the O Lounge were talking very loudly and not following the spa’s quiet rules. It would be nice if staff occasionally checked the various spaces to help maintain the calm atmosphere so everyone can enjoy the experience as intended. Additionally, check-in and check-out were quite time-consuming—about 20 minutes to check in and another 10 to check out. If the front desk is busy, cross-training additional staff to assist could really improve the flow. Overall, Gangnam Spa Healing Paradise is an exceptional place to relax, reset, and treat yourself. Despite the small hiccups, it’s an experience I would absolutely return for. 💆‍♀️✨

I've been to spa's all over the US, Japan, Taiwan, Korea. This place is legit. At first I was annoyed at the cost of a Premium Body Wrap Plus, but it was soooo good. A full scrub and soap up, and then at each turn she kept a hot towel on my core to keep me nice and warm. The massage was really good and the collagen mask actually made me glowy. The vibe on a Wednesday night was super jolly. It's not as quiet as spas in Japan, but all the women were laughing and so friendly - truly felt like a good Texas version of what you'd get in Asia. My only regret is not going earlier to spend time in the co-es portion and try their food (last order is 8:15pm!) and to be able to try the hip bath. Also starting at 9:30 they come over the intercom every 5 min. Reminding everyone to leave by 10. It became a little much, but I get it.

Amazing, luxurious experience. We did the couple's combo with spa access and massage. Very relaxing. Body felt renewed and nice time to bond with my wife. Men sauna and pool/shower are separated from women and then you meet inside afterwards to enjoy all the amenities offered. Similar to onsens in Japan. Pretty neat.

Recently, I had the pleasure of spending the day at Gangnam Spa - a bathhouse for rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation. I left feeling completely reset and grateful for the experience, it will not be my last. Upon arrival, shoes must be taken off. You can purchase a pair of slip-resistant socks if you're not comfortable walking around barefoot. Tip: book your spa day online where you'll get a ticket for a discounted rate. I went on a Thursday and my ticket was $40. If I didn't purchase my ticket online I would have paid $48 at the door. Inside the private women's area, I moved through the three signature baths - a warm bath, a hot herbal bath infused with mugwort, and a cold plunge that dips to around 58 degrees. I switched between them slowly, spending about ten minutes in each. I finished with the wet sauna which ended just in time for my hip bath. It's an herbal steam that you sit on and relax for about thirty minutes. The herbal blend is made up of several herbs that focus on womb health and deep relaxation. If you're a woman seeking a moment of reset or support for digestion, constipation, and energetic cleansing I can't recommend it enough. In the co-ed common area there are several specialty healing rooms and a foot bath room. One of the rooms reaches a blazing temperature of 217 degrees. I personally enjoyed spending time in the oxygen room. They have a book-nook for all you book-lovers like me. They offer other services that you will have to pay extra for and it's best to book those ahead of time on their website. Those services include massages, body scrubs, and facials. You can also enjoy their massage chair or the steam sauna capsule which you don't need to make an appointment in advance for. I ended up staying around five hours which included a lunch break in the restaurant where I enjoyed a hot bowl of seaweed soup. It was plenty of time to enjoy myself and get a full experience of what they have to offer.

Beautiful SPA - clean, well maintained, with a relaxing atmosphere and a luxurious interior. Calm music, soothing sound of water, no loud noises and wonderfully decorated areas that please eye and soul quickly bring you into a state of relaxation and harmony. An impressive selection of different saunas - each one is definitely worth trying! Thank you for an amazing spa experience, we will definitely be coming back! The only improvement I would suggest is adding pre-brewed herbal tea or refreshing lemon-mint water to the water stations😊

We had visited Gangnam in the past and didn't enjoy it, but a friend recently told us it had improved, so we decided to give it one more try. We went on December 30 and I understand it was the holiday season and expected it to be busy but the experience wasl shocking. The parking situation was complete chaos. The lot was full, with cars parked haphazardly with some parallel-parked, others blocking vehicles entirely. Because of this, the spa had to make loudspeaker announcements every 10 minutes or so, calling out specific vehicles (for example, black BMW owner, please move your car). These announcements were often repeated three or four times before staff warned that the car would be towed. Hearing this over and over again was extremely disruptive and the opposite of relaxing. It set the tone for the entire visit: chaotic and poorly managed. Inside, there were long lines at the entrance and staff had to tell guests they were already at capacity and that people would need to wait until others left. We waited about 10 minutes, which wasn't terrible, but we overheard others saying they had waited much longer. This could have been handled much better with clearer communication--simple signage at the entrance, time-slot notices, or even updates on the website might help manage expectations. Once inside, things went downhill quickly. I was given an XL uniform as they ran out of smaller sizes. I had to hold my shorts the entire time as they kept falling down (too big). The women's changing room was jam-packed and slippery. While the hot and cold pools and saunas weren't overly crowded, the communal relaxation rooms--the salt room, rock room, and similar spaces--were extremely disruptive. There was constant loud talking, giggling, and even people using speakerphones. This is a spa meant for relaxation, not a social hangout. Hearing phone conversations echo through quiet rooms completely ruins the experience. We did bring this up to staff, but unfortunately, there was little to no enforcement of any noise policy. There should be staff actively monitoring and reminding guests to be respectful of the shared space. The only genuinely positive part of the experience was the fire rooms. The inner dome gets very hot and actually allows you to sweat properly and there was a group of folks talking too! Everything else was disappointing. The added hand spa with rocks felt pointless and ineffective. The massage pods charging $39 for 30 minutes are wildly overpriced and not worth it. They even ran out of towels at 9 pm. Overall, the biggest issue is poor management and lack of control. Between the parking chaos, constant announcements, overcrowding, and lack of enforcement, the environment was stressful rather than relaxing. This will truly be our last visit. If you're looking for a peaceful healing spa experience, this is not the place.

Terrible experience, falling apart, and rude staff. Do not recommend. I visited Gangnam Spa on December 29th at 10:00 AM. Even though they open at 9:00 AM, they were completely unprepared. There were no towels available, which is unacceptable for a spa that has already been open for an hour. The condition of the facility is deplorable. The interior looks run-down and neglected. Specifically, the salt room is literally crumbling—chunks of salt rocks are falling off the walls. On top of the poor facilities, the customer service was awful. The attitude is purely transactional; they don't care about the guest experience, they just want your money. The staff was rude and unhelpful. You will not find any service or quality here that justifies the price. There are much better alternative spas in Houston. Save your money and go elsewhere.
