BE CAREFUL WITH BOOKING! I had an appointment set and commuted an hour to the location. I had received 2 reminders confirming my appointment and saw the reviews to show up early. I was 20 minutes early just to be greeted with a locked door. There was no one there, and they didn’t answer the phone either. They had completely FORGOT my appointment! This is such an unprofessional experience and I am so disappointed.

Bad business practices. Found this place through gifted GroupOn from a friend. It came to the last session of my package and they told me AFTER the session they would be charging me full price because they wanted to exercise GroupOn rule of expired voucher. After telling them I wouldn't pay it they ran my card without my authorization. I do not recommend them.

I’m a nurse and one of my coworkers who works at this company part time told me about this place. I recently relocated to California and everyone looked at me like I was crazy because I hadn’t heard of this place. It’s clear by just calling around how popular this place is. Many other locations are booked over a month in advance, so extremely difficult to get an appointment. This is a newer location, and outside of central LA, so a lot easier to get an appointment. I called on Friday and was able to get in appointment today for my birthday. Took a lyft here, but there is street parking. Walk up the first set of stairs and the store is to the right and up the next set of stairs. Hard to miss it. Very boutique, contemporary decor inside. As soon as you walk in, the everything feels upscale . They have water, Oreos, and mints for you. The girl at the front desk was very informative and helpful. Very busy with all the phone calls but did excellent with my paperwork and checking me in. No one else was there, so no wait. I got the Brazilian, lip, and chin done. I was finished in twenty minutes. My nurse was very knowledgeable about the entire process and what to do and what no to do afterward. I want to say her name was Erica. Great customer service skills. This is a very relaxed environment. I’ve done laser before and I can say this was one of the better experiences. They make sure they have the correct setting for your skin tone and their machines have the coolant, so you really don’t feel anything. Definitely coming back. And scheduling for next month was so simple.

This rating is based solely on the front desk receptionist name "Ivy" I’m not sure that her real name is Ivy because when I called corporate to make a complaint while I was still there they informed me that I was receiving text from Brandy’s account. I received a message 2 minutes into my appointment because I was running late, I was actually parking, at that point so I responded and said I was parking. When I walked into the location I was not greeted, however I spoke and told her my name and said that I was running late for my 5:30 appointment. She told me to sign into the iPad and as I was signing into the iPad she made a smart comment and I politely asked her who text me from the 424 number, because I’m aware that I was behind & I also let them know I was parking. She pics up a device and say "it was me and I’m not responsible for you being late and you not being able to get to your appointments on time" at that time I asked for a manager or another receptionist because her attitude, demeanor and response was completely offensive and off putting. She said "it’s only me here & there is no one else to help you" I asked her what her name was and she said "it’s Ivy, I-V-Y incase you need to spell it" at this time I could tell that she was being completely condescending and I could not think of any other reason besides me being African American. I asked her what her problem was because she was being extremely disrespectful and her attitude was horrible & for her to be in costumer service her actions were completely out of line. I knew she was trying to get a reaction of of me but I remained calm and informed her that I would be calling in to speak with corporate instead of dealing with her because she made me extremely uncomfortable. Another customer walked inside and of course she greeted them and the on appearance difference between the other customer and I was that she was not black.

I always have a peaceful good time coming to my appointments here at SEV Hermosa Beach location. Jasmine the manager here is very professional, nice, understanding & all of the staff here as well have manners, kind, excellent communication skills to help us reach our main goals for hair removal. & if anything; the staff employers are here to help us on the phone to move our appointments. The workers here are professionals, kind & patient as well.

Pros: Great communicative technicians, clean facilities, appointment reminders via text/email, and decently effective results. Cons: Parking can be difficult and best practice is to arrive early; results, at least for me, weren’t as long-term effective as other places I’ve tried though not a dealbreaker; but the reason I won’t be returning is inconsistent communication about appointments with receptionists. I have a busy work/personal life, while I understand a one-off error in booking can happen, when I feel I have to keep having to follow up and check appts are booked correctly (which I don’t find I have to do for my hair stylist, lash tech, etc) it can be stressful. The final straw - At my last appointment, I asked how many sessions were left in my package, I was told I had one more, so I booked it and attended only to find out after that it was an additional one and was charged for it. This was frustrating because I had planned to finish the initial package and then begin a new area. It feels like I can’t rely on accurate booking and information, so I’d rather go elsewhere.

Courtney is a wizard with the laser. I’ve seen better results in one session than I did my entire time at another laser place. If you’re tired of seeing your dark hair follicles, even after you shave, GO SEE HER
