Woodhouse Spa - Grand Rapids

Recently moved to Grand Rapids and was on the hunt for a place that offers true deep tissue massage, and I’m so glad I found this place. From the moment I walked in, the space felt calming and welcoming. The massage itself was exactly what I needed—intentional, thorough, and clearly done by someone who knows what they’re doing. Massages are really important to me, and it’s such a relief to find a place I can trust and come back to regularly. I’m so happy this spa is now part of my self-care routine!

Not a true day spa. I was a regular at the Woodhouse Naples, FL location before moving to Michigan and this location isn’t even close to the same experience. The Florida location has a dry sauna & steam room. It also has a cozy lounge that includes a hot tea station, a water dispenser (fruit diffused), and snacks. The lounge has an electric fireplace display with day beds and blankets. The bathrooms have multiple showers and changing rooms along with toiletries (combs, shower caps, disposable razors, mouthwash, and so much more). It truly gives a day spa experience where you can spend time before and after your massage using the amenities. Needless to say I was very disappointed at my first visit to the Grand Rapids location. It is more expensive than Florida location and no amenities. They only offer to bring you a beverage. No sauna/steam room, 1 shower and the locker room was under construction. If the price was cheaper just for a simple massage in and out it would be fine but I feel GR is missing out and paying more. Last thing to mention was the massage therapist was mediocre. I’ve had many massages over the years. She was pleasant and respectful but her massage didn't seem experienced and she paused often through massage to crack/stretch her hands (maybe arthritis issues or new to the job?). The cleanliness and atmosphere were decent and staff were welcoming. Was just surprised at the lack of amenities while still labeling it a "day spa" vs just a massage/facial service.

I decided to do girls’ day out; so I invited my sister and daughter to come with me on Thursday, May 23 (our appointment was at 10:00am). My first impression of the place was that it had a peaceful and calming atmosphere. All the staff were very friendly, polite, welcoming, and professional. I booked for a Deep Cleanse facial and my sister and daughter had a Holistic Pedicure. Before meeting your assigned "beautician," you go into this beautiful decorated "locker room." You can put on a robe and clean slippers. There’s also a locker you can put in all your belongings and lock it. Once you’re done, you go in a waiting lobby/room until your beautician comes in. While waiting in the lobby, you filled out some quick questionnaires. My beautician (Chandra? Sorry, if I misspelled your name) was excellent, professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly. I was led into a room that was very calming and comfortable. There was a peaceful and soothing music being played in the background; and the bed was very comfortable and I think it’s set at a certain temperature. It was so comfortable, I think you can fall asleep in there! My beautician recommended what to do with my face and what to use. My sister and daughter had a great experience as well. My sister would definitely come back and get a pregnancy massage. I would highly recommend going to this place for some great experience! But make sure you are ready to spend some money. My husband bought me a gift card to this place for Christmas (last year) and I finally decided to use it few months later! The atmosphere is excellent and the staff are excellent as well. Also, book your appointment(s) before going. Depending on how many people are going, book your appointments few weeks before. When we went there, the area had few parking spots left, and it was getting busy! Overall, everything was great!

I am genuinely upset writing this review. I bought my mom a gift card for Christmas for what was supposed to be a relaxing head and shoulder massage, which she used on 1/6/26. It was awful. They didn’t massage her shoulders at all, the water temperature was wildly inconsistent, either scalding hot or freezing cold, and they were so rough they pulled out her hair. She left feeling stressed, uncomfortable, and disappointed instead of relaxed. She said the cheap champagne was the best part of the experience. This was meant to be a thoughtful gift, and it turned into a complete waste of money. She will never be back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I was a winner for one of the holiday giveaways and was graciously gifted a pedicure. Ella did the treatment for me and was absolutely amazing! It was very relaxing, her attention to detail and the way she took her time puts you right at ease. I am beyond happy with my service and highly recommend coming to wood house for any spa needs!

This is so exciting!!! My favorite place in Grand Rapids is expanding...more luxurious space for their signature body treatments, facials, massages, Mani/Pedi experiences!✅✅✅ Can't wait 😁

amazing and relaxing space that is welcoming this was my first time here and i hope to be back! i had an amazing massage with great pressure and attention to the toughest knots in my back. if you are considering the reflexology do it!! my feet haven’t felt this good in years and it’s only the day after my massage
