Massage Envy - Grand Junction

Tatyana was very nice and the place was very clean. However, I paid for a one hour firm massage and got a 45 minute light to medium pressure. I arrived at my appointment 25 minutes early to fill out the appropriate paperwork so there was no reason for a shorter massage than what I had paid for. I also paid for heat enhancements because I was having tightness in my back and neck area. The extra heat enhancement was a hot rag placed and rubbed on my back which pretty much cooled immediately when placed. My overall massage experience unfortunately was a bit of a disappointment.

My husband and I have given this place more chances than we should have. We had a membership for a year and a half and went monthly, hoping each new massage therapist might finally be better than the last. Unfortunately, we were consistently disappointed, and we eventually canceled our membership. The best thing I can say about Massage Envy is the convenience and the fact that they do have one great massage therapist, Tatyana. Beyond that, our experiences have been poor. Massage Envy feels like the "Great Clips" of massage places — convenient, but without the inexpensive prices to justify the inconsistency. Unless you have a membership, the prices are high, and even with the membership, you truly never know what kind of massage you’re going to get. Between my husband and myself, we’ve seen at least eight therapists, and we only liked one — and it was the same person for both of us. I don’t know if the issue is inexperience, lack of training, or something else, but the quality is all over the place. We have several experiences with poor bedside manner and bad hygiene, making our relaxing time not so relaxing. We also dealt with several scheduling problems. We’ve been double-booked and forced to reschedule more than once. For a period of time we had a consistent schedule, and then they randomly changed it without asking. On top of that, we experienced multiple billing issues throughout our membership. Yesterday was the last straw. I went in purely out of convenience and desperation because I couldn’t get in anywhere else last minute. and my body was hurting. I didn’t expect an amazing massage given our history, but I didn’t expect it to feel like a complete waste of time and money or to be leaving in more pain than when I arrived. After far too many chances, the lesson has finally been learned — I won’t be going back. If you do go, I highly recommend Tatyana, she is amazing, I just can't ever seem to get our schedules to match.

Cassandra was wonderful! I booked a massage last minute because I was having hip and shoulder tension issues. She helped me with the problem areas, while putting me to sleep. I was so happy with the s3rvice she provided I immediately rebooked with her.

Wow! I got a last minute appointment with John and came in with stress, tight muscles and pain but floated out of there! That was such a needed and healing massage! Thanks so much for the extra care and personalizing the time to really relieve the specific areas that needed attention! I feel so much better!

John was great! Pressure was perfect, I’ve been having some bad neck pain and I was feeling significantly better when I left. He was kind and listened to my concerns. Would recommend!

I came in with a lot of discomfort and tension, and by the time I left, I felt noticeably lighter, more relaxed, and honestly so much better than I expected. John’s kindness, care, and overall skill made such a difference. I’m really grateful for the experience and I will absolutely be coming back for future appointments. Highly recommend!

Clean, comfortable, and relaxing atmosphere. Staff was accommodating and helpful throughout my visit. My massage therapist John was great and made sure that I was comfortable and that all my questions and concerns were addressed.
