LUX SPA

Though the facility seemed older than Kspa, it was still nice and clean. I like that it has more small rooms. The first time there the place was like a maze and felt like you could easily walk to the wrong place lol but once you learn where everything is it's fine. So fun and relaxing.

The spa is clean and spacious. The salt room completely melted away all of my fatigue. I had yukgaejang at the restaurant inside the spa, and it was so satisfying. The jjimjilbang access, body scrub, and body massage are only $95!! Seriously, highly recommended. 👍

I'm giving Lux 4 stars because I enjoyed my visit but this place was not "LUXurious" as the name suggests so doesn't get a 5. But who goes to a Korean spa for luxury? It was clean however and adequate for what I was looking for. Secure lockers, Wi-Fi , water filling station, shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, all the toiletries you may need. Also, it should be noted that the RESTAURANT is CLOSED ON FRIDAYS. (Unfortunately I went on Friday because I was looking forward to great food I read about and saw in photos) Read on: I was in Orange County for work up near Disney this place was a perfect spot to stop on the way to John Wayne, Santa Ana airport to unwind a bit from my convention. My body, feet, legs and mind were tired after a week long convention. The spa front desk stored my luggage while I went in midday for a 30 min body scrub and 60 minute full body oil massage combo. The $125 price covered the entrance fee. After entering, I had an hour before my treatments to use the wet and dry sauna, hot pool, the cold plunge and showers. In the men's side most everyone is walking around naked. I'll generalize here, clientele on a Friday midday on the men's side seemed to be mostly a gay crowd. I'm a straight man. It didn't bother me really but I think a lot of the men there were cruising looking for partners. But everyone was friendly and no one aggressively making advances. I didn't see any sexual activity but I'm pretty sure it goes on. Onto the treatments. Alex gave me a relaxing and enjoyable full body scrub. I'd read about him and was glad he was there. Alex has been doing body scrubs in Korea and the US for 36 years. He's a legend there. Very friendly and put me at ease. The scrub setting is on a plastic coated massage table in a semi public stall in the main pool area, and you're stark naked while receiving the treatment. It wasn't immodest out in the open, but this treatment may not be for someone that needs a lot of privacy. Alex was very thorough and got every part of my body scrubbed and then subsequently soaped up and washed down. And I mean every nook and cranny. You shouldn't be squeamish and get this treatment. Then onto my 60 minute massage with Julie which was really nice and relaxing. The massage was over in the co-ed area in a private treatment room. They give you a "uniform" when you check in for your massage that consists of some restrictive shorts and a T-shirt. Everyone is meant to wear these uniform items in all the co-ed areas of the spa as well as the massage treatment. Julie allowed me to remove shirt and gave me a looser pair of shorts for my massage. It was beneficial for the massage. Julie had the right combination of pressure and technique. 10 out of 10 massage. All in all, I had a great time, at the Lux. I'd recommend to any one looking to pamper yourself after a convention or vacation. If you're a local or traveler with a flight out of SNA enjoy a few hours relaxing at the Lux!

Came here regularly in the old place before COVID. Patiently waiting for it to reopen that took forever. New owners and a remodeling. But worth the wait. Nice clean and great people running it. I try to come out once a week. Like a Mini Vacation for me.

The WORST Korean Spa I've ever been to. A lot of reviews say that this spa had been upgraded, which is very hard to believe. I can't imagine what it was like before the so called "upgrade". The entire facility is dingy, old and cluttered. There is no real common room area, just a small room with old and stained chairs. There is no ice room. Only salt, clay and relaxation rooms. The biggest issue I have is that men are allowed into the women's nude/spa/sauna areas. They have signs everywhere stating that there is no designated exclusive men or women areas. NOT SAFE! 👿👎

I have not been to the spa since they remodeled however I notice negative reviews about the price and rude staff. In all fairness $35.00 is the average price for admission for other Korean style spas in the area. But I would like to know where the owner visited a spa that was $50. +?? Hopefully it included an "open bar".. And why would he visit a rival spa when he invested 7 figures in his own?// by the way if you want to compare rude service , just visit Pioneer Spa in Norwalk..The owner and his staff are the worst!
