10/10 experience! I wish I collected my masseuse’s name. She gave my my prenatal massage and from beginning to end the customer service was incredibly accommodating, friendly and the massage it’s self was one of the best. The price is comparable to anywhere else you’d go for a 90 minute massage. I will be booking again within the next few weeks.
Christine is phenomenal. I had a 90-minute deep tissue massage and it was pure bliss from start to finish. Perfect pressure, intuitive technique, and an incredibly calming presence. I left feeling completely relaxed and reset. 90 minutes pased in what felt like moments. Hands down one of the best massages I have ever had. Christine has a gift, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.
I had a wonderful experience for a massage with Christine today and all the other staff at the folsom location. Very kind, informative and accommodating to my health needs. Beautiful and peaceful environment. I plan to come back regularly.
I purchased the holistic ritual package and was genuinely impressed with the quality of the treatments themselves. However, my experience was significantly impacted by noise disruptions that made it difficult to achieve the relaxation these services are designed to provide. During my Reiki session in particular, excessive noise from the adjacent room made it nearly impossible to unwind. A staff member was repeatedly dropping items and cussing under her breath, with every sound clearly audible through the walls. This disturbance continued for over half of my session. When the noise finally subsided, a group of people gathered outside the treatment room, talking and laughing loudly. While I understand that some conversation and movement between sessions is normal, the level of disruption I experienced felt excessive for a wellness environment. Given the premium pricing and the emphasis on creating a peaceful, restorative atmosphere, I expected a quieter, more professional setting. The noise unfortunately detracted from what could have been an exceptional experience. I see other reviews reflecting the same experience in the recent months so it does seem to be an ongoing issue.
Just had a recent sports massage & it was terrible. One of the worst massages I’ve had in my life. Zero technique & no pressure despite asking for more. Never had a massage where I couldn’t wait until it was over. I understand trying new therapists is always a gamble but WOW! This felt like robbery. So far have had 1 amazing massage therapist, 2 average & this most recent, terrible. Would still try this location for convenience & just try a new therapist next time. It’s just very disheartening to have $129 + tip go down the drain like that.
Updating this original review: After my original review, the spa director reached out regarding my concerns, wanting to know what improvements could be made. She then offered all four of us a complimentary massage to "make up" for the poor experience we all had. I had that "make up" massage today with massage therapist Amy, and the experience was night and day from my original visit to the spa. Amy provided an incredible service-and all of the issues I had noted after my original visit had been taken care of. I appreciate the management for reaching out to me. I went to Serenity Spa today with three friends, we all got massages, and we all had completely different experiences. The common thread was that none of us were 100% pleased. One of us had a freezing cold room while three of us had warm rooms. We all had to listen to competing music-the barriers between the rooms are so flimsy that you can hear everything in the room next to you, other people talking in the hallways, etc. Each room had their own music playing, and as I was being massaged, I could hear at least three different types of music overlapping. The massage itself was fine-nothing to return for. Overall the spa itself should focus on some sort of consistency. One friend had a very short "one hour" massage, for example. I had previously had a poor experience at the Roseville location, but hoped that was a one off. Apparently it was not. Hoping the management can find a way to improve the spa.
My first experience with Serenity Spa was overall pleasurable. I enjoyed the ambiance and background music and the lemon strawberry water was a nice touch. I booked with Serenity as a birthday present for myself. The services I received was the Indian Head Therapy and a 60 Minute Skin Ritual facial. In between each service they provided a chocolate dipped strawberry, which made the transition very delicious. I left Serenity feeling relaxed and squeaky clean. Can't wait to return in the future for another facial.
