Daytona International Speedway

We have been wanting to see the Daytona Speedway and decided to drive up to Daytona to take a tour. There is a track tour that departs every half hour. We visited on a weekday morning, and we had no wait time. The tour is on an open-air trolly that takes you out on the track and stops at various points where you can get out for photo ops. We drove around the track and through pit row then stopped at the winner's circle on the infield. We proceeded through the tunnel to the Toyota entrance where we went into the grandstands for a magnificent view of the track. We had never been here before and were blown away by the enormity of the facility. Our tour guide was awesome very informative and had a great sense of humor. They offer a variety of different tour options. The track tour lasts about an hour. and we had no wait time. After the tour we enjoyed strolling through the Speedway Museum learning about the history of the race and track. The exhibits were awesome. We had a blast. A definite must see if you are in the Daytona area. Just stop in at the tour office and take a ride.

Daytona Nascar 500. Amazing show. Something that once in a lifetime you have to experience. Very exciting and fun where you can eat, drink and enjoy with the whole family. You can take your cooler with food, drinks and you can enter without any problem.

Amazing, first time experiencing the Daytona 500. Can't wait to do it again. The only struggle was getting out. It took 2 hours to get out of the parking lot, but it was still worth it.

The one hour tour was a lot of fun and it was very informative. Our tour guide did a great job! While we were waiting to take the tour, we walked through the Motorsports Hall of Fame which was very interesting.

The tram tour was really interesting (thanks Pete), even for someone like me with limited NASCAR knowledge or experience. The story of a dreamer, like William France, Sr., never gets old. The museum, which is complementary with purchase of tour, was exceptional - covering the history of racing, the cars, and drivers. There were replicas, movies, plaques, Informational signage, actual race cars from all eras, and other memorabilia. The track and stands were so much bigger in person than on tv! We were lucky to be able to see some cars out testing the site, their cars, and their own skills.

Attended the O’Reiley Auto Parts 300, plenty of free parking in lot 7 with a very efficient bus transport system to and from the track. Easy to get in and find our seats. Lots of food and beverage options, however, be advised no cash. Everything is CC only. Had a great time, great race, easy in and out.

We were going to just tour the museum, but the tram tour of the racetrack area was only $15 more, so we did both! The tram tour was awesome! Just being in the infield area of the track made my day 😃 ! The gentleman giving the tour (I wish I could remember his name) was exceptional! The amount of information he provided was mind boggling 😊 ! The museum was really well done and had many more exhibits than I really thought they'd have. The gift shop at the end has something for everyone on your list! I would definitely tour the entire place again!
