I have been coming to The Pearl for the Healing Waters experiences for years. And it has been MORE than worth it. The staff has always been incredible and everything has always been clean and welcoming and incredibly wonderful. However, today- I received inexperienced my first treatment and it was absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD. Mayasa was incredible from welcoming to exit. She was receptive to what I had to say about what I wanted and needed and she absolutely acted on that in terms of my treatment. She was beyond incredible. I cannot recommend her enough. I haven’t had a massage in years and I have already booked one for next month because I feel so good moving forward. I can’t wait to keep coming back and keep getting better. The Pearl is the best place to come for personal wellness. 100%

Pearl Spa in Columbia, MD delivered a largely exceptional and restorative experience. From the outset, Chloe at the front desk demonstrated exemplary professionalism—courteous, attentive, and genuinely invested in guest comfort. Paul, in the heated water area, was equally diligent, ensuring cleanliness, hydration, and thoughtful touches throughout. Most notably, my massage therapist, Phyllis, was extraordinary. Her technique reflected a high level of clinical mastery and intuitive care; the incorporation of hot towels and her consistent check-ins created a deeply soothing, almost transcendent experience. Her work alone warrants a return visit. The sole drawback was the women’s locker room, which was untidy during peak hours, with overflowing trash and unreplenished towels despite staff being notified. While this detracted slightly, it did not overshadow the overall excellence—particularly the outstanding therapeutic care provided by Phyllis.

The massage by Joshua was wonderful! He did a really good job asking about desired pressure and problem areas. I deducted one star because the "lounge" area is really an open space where people are waiting with coats on for others while some people are relaxing with their robes on. It's a weird mix because there are usually separate waiting/lounge areas. The biggest issue is that its freezing cold in this area so it's not really comfortable for lounging with a robe on... I deducted another star because the technology/processes could be much better. The website is absolutely horrible! If you are trying to book for multiple people, the website completely freezes at times and when it finally works it books two people back to back versus at the same time. Then you have to waste more time by calling to make an appointment. It looks like they integrated the website with Mind and Body but its horrible! I requested that one of my profiles be deleted from the website but it doesnt work properly, which could be a security issue... I also received a very helpful email explaining how to locate the facility...the day after my appointment... That isnt helpful at all!

I had a massage with Dejah, and it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had! She was very attentive and I definitely walked out feeling relaxed! The lounge area and locker rooms were clean, the tea offered was really good, and the front desk staff were all very friendly. Would recommend!

I’ve been going to The pearl spa for many many years. It’s been one of my favorite spas in the area for quite a while. This was my first time going to The pearl spa since it’s moved to Columbia Maryland by Whole Foods. It’s a little tricky to find as there is no large exterior sign. Luckily there was a small sandwich or sign right outside to guide you into the building entrance, which is to the left of Whole Foods. Once inside the building, you take the elevator to level 1 and you’ll enter the pearl spa, where nirvana is near. I signed up for a sound healing experience at The pearl spa where you float in their swimming pool to the sound of relaxing healing chimes and ocean waves. Prior to being escorted to the pool, the receptionist invited us to go to the lounge where we could sit and relax and enjoy flavored waters or herbal teas while we waited. Once we got to the pool, we removed our shoes and socks, and where greeted by an staff member who asked if we wanted to have some Palo Santo smudged around us before the experience. There were two lifeguards to assist with getting onto the inflatable mattresses. Luckily bathing suits were not required or necessary as you are not immersed in the water at all during the experience The experience begins with a guided meditation and deep breathing exercises as you float gently in the pool. After about an hour, the experience concludes, and you are guided to exit the pool with the assistance of the lifeguards. The entire experience last for about an hour, and it was wonderful so relaxing so calming After the experience concluded, the staff member came back to ask if we wanted to experience some aromatherapy where we had a choice of two scents or you could have both a mist of inner peace and infinite joy. The pearl spa has a nice little store where you can find lots of body care, aromatherapy and other healing products. I would like to go back for a massage or spa treatment and enjoy the healing waters. There is a cold plunge pool, steam shower, sauna and other amenities. The pearl spa also offers aerial yoga classes and group acupuncture among treatments and experiences. It a lovely and relaxing place, where self care is paramount.

I got the sacred pearl massage with Michelle, and she was absolutely wonderful! She was mindful about my needs and took preferred pressure into account. The gua sha was amazing and I felt almost detoxed after the service. It was awesome. She was five stars- and I would definitely book with her again. Rating 4 stars specifically because massages/services here are so expensive I wish they were a bit more affordable.

I came to the Pearl over Winter break for a massage and the healing waters and everything was great. I got a massage from Phyllis who was absolutely fantastic! I would highly recommend her and will book her next time I'm here.
