The Spa of Charleston

We stayed at the Francis Marion and visited the on site Spa of Charleston on January 31, 2026, the winter storm shut down. I am so thankful that we had spa reservations, the spa was open and our Massage Therapists were available. They were excellent! I was there with my two girls, Claire and Sarah. Our Massage Therapist were William, Joie and Lacy. We all were thrilled with our massages; the exceptional care with pressure and relaxation. Specifically, my masseuse, Joie took extra time to work out numerous knots in my upper shoulders and neck area. It was a full 90 minutes and I was sad to see it end. I know that the girls with masseuses, William and Lacy felt just the same. They said that it was truly one of the best massages they have ever received. Thank you to the Spa of Charleston for providing a very bright spot in our chilly weekend.

My wife and I had an amazing massage lesson with Maria! She made it fun, hands-on, and incredibly informative, teaching both of us techniques we can actually use. She was also so thoughtful about my wife being pregnant and made sure everything was comfortable and safe.

What a most enjoyable experience at The Spa of Charleston! I was lucky to be scheduled with Katharina and she is beyond excellent! Her professionalism and passion for what she does, as well as her genuine positive personality made the experience truly magical. Everything was perfect, the ambiance, the massage techniques, lavender mask, etc etc. My body feels so rejuvenated and relaxed at the same time. Katharina went overtime for my massage as well as tending to my painful area and giving me helpful tips. So grateful for such an amazing experience at this Spa! Thank you!! Highly recommend!

I did a facial treatment and was highly impressed by Maurice! He was very knowledgeable, professional, kind and informative. He has a very nice aura and I felt totally relaxed, calm and taken care of. I highly recommend him and I will certainly return again!

I booked a spa experience for 3 family members while we were on vacation. The Spa of Charleston was one of the few spa’s that could offer us a massage all at the same time. We started the experience having issues to start as you are required to fill out your health and waiver needs online. This was an issue as I booked the treatments. I forwarded the forms to my other family members and their site did not allow for additional forms to be completed. As we were having issues one family member asked if she could just fill out a paper form to allow us to move forward and we were told "no" which delayed are start longer. Having had massages all over Charleston, throughout the US, and abroad I would say this experience is a table and massage not a "spa treatment" as you sit in an office until they call you in. You change in the room and lay on the table to get started with your message when your done you get dressed in room, pay and leave. Again this not what I consider a spa treatment. I’m not sure the $200 a person was worth the experience. I will note, the masseuses were amazing, all three massages were great, one of the best we have experienced! They just need to focus on what makes a "Spa Package" larger rooms, a serenity sitting room, a better admin. experience. As I have been to multiple other Spa’s in Charleston I would suggest they review their competion.

Mackenzie was amazing—I’m so glad I booked the Gua Sha facial with her. She was incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, and I even took home some great tips on how to keep my skin firm and lifted. The experience was so relaxing that I almost fell asleep.

Had an amazing facial with Kenzie! She was so sweet and very knowledgeable. Best facial I’ve ever had and I loved the products. I also had an amazing massage with Maria. She addressed my back pain perfectly. Highly reccomended!
