Smash Park Des Moines

Really nice dinner with the family here. Food and atmosphere were awesome as well as the food. The service all was good but the kitchen, they had several misses making me walk back twice and it’s not busy so they cannot blame it on that. The facility was very clean and inviting and some real nice outdoor seating. Lots of games in play here. I’d go back again.

Got there for lunch on Thursday, it was quiet but there were employees cleaning the facility and the ambiance was great. It would have been nice if there were more people, but it isn’t a lunch spot. The burgers were fantastic and the choices of sides were better than I expected. The coleslaw was crispy. It was a good time. I got to play the table games and see some pickle ball.

We enjoyed the axe throwing so much! I had my son who is hard of hearing and some of his friends who are deaf with us and Chris in the axe throwing took the time to write down tips and directions for them and also would get their attention to show them how to properly throw it to make the axe stick. He was awesome! The food could have been better. We barely touched it. The arcade isn’t much of an arcade. I thought it would be a big arcade room for the kids not just a few here or there. This is much more set up for older kids and adults. But we had fun.

We hosted our Christmas party at Smash Park in West Des Moines for the second year in a row, and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was great, the atmosphere was perfect for a mix of adults and families, and everything felt fun and welcoming. What really made the difference, though, was the service. The staff took great care of our group, and their attention to detail and friendliness truly stood out. Highly recommend Smash Park for any group event — we’ll definitely be back! 🎄✨

This was our first time to smash park and we were impressed. The atmosphere was very upbeat, the staff seemed to know when to come by and were super attentive. The food was way better than we expected. Everyone seemed to be having an awesome time. We will definitely stop by again.

We went Smash Park for my birthday and had SO much fun playing pickle ball!! This place has all kinds of games and things to do! Huge games, arcade games, inside games, outside, bouchée ball, yard shuffleboard, corn hole and I’m sure we didn’t even see everything. The menu was really fun and yummy. The drinks we got were really good too, unfortunately the service was not great. We ordered a round of drinks, and our food, our waitress never came back. We arrived 2 hours before our pickle ball court reservation. When our food arrived, we asked the guy who brought it if we could get a refill, he never came back. Then a bus boy was clearing a table next to us, we asked him if we could have napkins, he said yes, but also never came back. Finally our waitress came to the table next to us, we asked her if we could all get refills and napkins she said yes, but also never came back. By the time our pickleball reservation rolled around we still hadn’t gotten refills or napkins so that’s a bummer, we would’ve liked to try a couple more of their special cocktails and dessert. We had the wings, freitobowl, Caribbean shrimp bowl and sheet ton of nachos, all of which were good. However, we had SO much fun playing the games, we will still come back and try it again. We ended up asking someone near the door to get our check since we never got it.

I reached out to multiple venues to host a corporate Christmas party, and Smash Park was the first to respond with a real person. The scheduling process was super easy, along with reading their large variety pack of catering and activity options. They continued to communicate with me very well leading up to the event, and was very welcoming and great hosts for our event. The food, service, and activities were fantastic. I will highly recommend Smash Park to anyone who's looking for a night out, or larger parties like ours.
