Jaws Topokki

So happy they opened a stall here at Haven City Market. I really enjoyed their Duo set which comes with their Topokki and a medium deep fried set. The topokki is perfectly spicy, just how I like it. The deep fried set includes sweet potato, shrimp, squid, seaweed roll and dumpling. Good for two people to share. Service was fast and friendly. When we received our order we took it to our table which is a cafeteria style setting.

East LA has been blessed yet again with another fire Korean street food spot. Jaws Topokki hails from Orange County and has finally made its way to the newest food hall Haven City in West Covina. I’m telling y’all, this is the place to BE. I love how the portions are a little smaller and priced affordably too so you can order more things to try. Some of my favorites include the deep fried set, and you have to get their gimbap, we got the bulgogi and spam & egg ones. I mean, just the packaging of these aloneee. For the topokki, I recommend the rose one. The sauce on this is like crack, literally SO addicting. Check out Jaws and let me know what you think! Thanks for reading! ^-^

Rose tteokbokki has pretty good flavors. The last time we order the sauce was a little thicker, but this time the sauce was more like soup. We prefer the thicker sauce. Tteokbokki very chewy 👍

I don't know what has happened to this place but it is not the same from when it first opened. The broth is super watery with tteokbokki that tastes like the plastic packaging it was in. Not to mention now their delivery time closes an hour and a half in advance of the actual place closing. You can no longer buy on ubereats as well. Hope they somehow bounce back but its more worth it to just make it at home.

I was pleasantly surprised by Jaws! I ordered the spicy Toppoki soup, and it was absolutely delicious — super addictive with that perfect chewy texture of the Tteokbokki. I love when food has good texture, and this really delivered. The spice level was definitely up there — maybe a bit much for some, but I wanted to test their definition of 'spicy' since some places claim it and don’t deliver. Next time, I might go with medium, but overall, I’d absolutely get this again.

I'm so happy that the most famous Korean topokki restaurant has opened in West Covina! The restaurant has such a beautiful interior! The staff were very friendly! The rose torokki, tuna kimbap, and cheese topokki are all super delicious and rich in flavor. I highly recommend this place!

They don’t even have a phone available to place orders. When we come in person, we’re forced to wait at least 20 minutes because the staff is on break. This is extremely inconvenient and frustrating. On top of that, the prices are higher when ordering online compared to ordering in the store, which makes no sense and feels unfair to customers.
