Kumi sushi & ramen Japanese restaurants

I recently had a fantastic fine dining experience at the new Kumi restaurant. The elegant, chic décor perfectly captures a modern Asian aesthetic, the layout is well-designed, with a sushi and cocktail bar at the front and a more intimate private dining area featuring a cozy fireplace in the back. I’m already looking forward to the opening of their outdoor patio this summer. As someone who is health-conscious, I found their health-conscious food preparation to be ideal. I ordered a Ramen noodle dish and a Sashimi bowl; the ramen was impressively flavorful despite being lower in salt and sodium, the yellowfin tuna was exceptionally fresh and high-quality, each piece was perfectly cut into ideal bite-sized portions. One additional note, they provide low-sodium high-quality Kikkoman soy sauce for their customers to use. Highly recommended!

Atmosphere cultured, urban, pleasant lightly, and tasteful deco. Food is fresh, delicious, and presented beautifully. Great value as they could easily justify charging more based on the quality of the food. We had Sushi - Naruto roll which was rich yet refreshing and Ramen w/Chashu (pork belly) in favorful broth, veggies and ramen. The service was exceptional.

We visited Kumi Sushi & Ramen last week and had an absolutely amazing experience! It’s rare to find a place that does both sushi and ramen so well, but everything here was on point. The Chicken Tonkatsu Ramen tasted incredibly fresh, and the broth was rich and flavorful. We also tried Spicy Maki Combo and it was also very fresh and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole meal very enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommend!

So happy with our date night experience! Restaurant is remodeled and decorated so nicely. Ordered crab Rangoon appetizer (yum.) Highly recommend the souju if you haven’t tried yet. Green grape Jinro is the way to go. Our favorite sushi roll was the Fire Phoenix. We will definitely be back!

Got to try Kumi tonight and 10/10. Best sushi we've had, loved the atmosphere, service was good. We got the pepper sushi for an app with avocado salads, volcano and kiss of fire sushi rolls, then machi ice cream (chocolate, strawberry, mango). Would recommend - great add to downtown waukesha!

YUMMY! Visiting for work (use to live here) and this place is now here. I remember when Waukesha didnt have a whole lot down this street and I am very happy this place is here. OMG...must stop. Delicious Sushi, Nice people, great decor and very relaxed. Food was excellent!

it was incredibly beautiful inside this restaurant, the service was impeccable, and the food was delicious. The server was attentive and quick. I had a Tsunami and it was great! My fiance ordered the Godzilla roll, and the Las Vegas roll. We ordered the crab rangoons, vegetable fried rice, salad and the Fire phoenix roll. So good!
