Before we even ate we were welcomed in and immediately got a table. The girl at the front was so kind to us and treated us like family. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. Without us asking someone came over and gave us some baklava for us(which was also delicious). I he restaurant was also beautiful.

Great spot if you’re ever in the mood for shawarma or other middle eastern cuisine. The best deal is the lunch combo #1! Highly recommend

This is the best place in Lake County and maybe the midwest. The lunch specials are great and inexpensive. Came here often for work lunch but retired. Have not been here for at least a year as I don’t live nearby. Still the same great food. Marlene the owner is the greatest.

I know 5 stars would normally be questionable but I promise you… food…service and atmosphere was ON POINT. I’m on vacation and enjoyed coming in being welcomed, seated and served with an absolute smile. Thank you for making our last meal in Chicago EVERYTHING!!!

We had an amazing meal at Papa Marco’s Kabobs, and everything about the experience was outstanding. We ordered the beef and lamb shawarma plate, which came with rice and warm pita bread, and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was flavorful, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly. The sides really elevated the meal. The hummus was smooth and rich, the baba ghanoush had great depth and smokiness, and the toum garlic sauce was incredible—bold, creamy, and addictive. Everything worked beautifully together and felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared. As a wonderful surprise, we were also treated to complimentary baklava for dessert, which was the perfect sweet finish to an already excellent meal. That extra touch of hospitality really stood out. Fantastic food, generous portions, and genuinely warm service. Papa Marco’s Kabobs is a place we’ll absolutely be returning to. Highly recommended.

A must stop if you love Mediterranean Food!!!! We were driving through Chicago on I 294, searching for some good, fresh, food instead of typical American fast food. Wow! Did we hit the jackpot! The food was super fresh, all homemade, melt in your mouth type of health cuisine. The owner & his wife established a thriving restaurant by word of mouth testimonials of how amazing the food was! The owner graciously accommodated our elderly mother and guest with several food allergies. What a treat! He treated us like family by welcoming us in. Everything about the meal was delightful. Highly recommend this restaurant above any other in the area, definitely worth a drive off the interstate! The baklava is superb! 5 stars all the way!

Always amazing food each time I eat here. Chicken and gyros plate is my go-to favorite! Carry-out is always fresh and delicious too, perfect for work. Big portions and flavor depth that will bring you back for more!
