Can I give my server 10 stars? She was amazing from the moment I walked in the door. Now I didn’t know about reservations , but the place was empty besides maybe two people at the bar . I told her how I was trying a different country’s food every single night that I’m here and she was very knowledgeable about the DC area. She helped me cook my meal when she saw I was having a little trouble getting all sides cooked evenly and even shared some good travel stories herself. It made my solo trip meal not so alone and that was a good feeling. If you’re in town visiting or if you live in the area definitely come to this spot for amazing food and service.
Gogi Yogi has a new fan!! Even though we arrived a bit late in the evening, they welcomed us graciously — the staff was friendly, kind, and very accommodating. We ordered the marinated chicken and it was wonderful — perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor, with a nicely balanced marinade. We also had fried dumplings which came out hot and crispy and paired nicely with the dipping sauce. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying, and the pricing felt completely reasonable for what we got. I was impressed by the variety of side dishes we got to try. Along with rice, there were some interesting little plates — there was a beet-based dish and a slaw-type side (similar to a jicama or radish-style salad) and a "kimchi"-style pickled vegetable dish, which was fun and tasty. It was nice to have the opportunity to try a few of those different Korean "banchan"-style sides — they added variety and made the meal feel more complete. The ambiance inside is modern and lively, with classic Korean-BBQ table-top grills, and a comfortable, casual vibe. For the price, service, and overall quality, I’d absolutely go back to explore more of the menu. Gogi Yogi gets a strong recommendation from me for anyone looking for a great Korean BBQ experience in DC.
I had a great time. I tried some happy hour drinks made by Cisco my apologies if spelling is wrong. We was seated by Natalie. She was awesome letting me know to try and get those drinks before happy hour was over the food guys the aromatics was to die for. The waiter Adrian amazing he recommended a wonderful cocktail it's was grapefruit flavored also a shot of a peach drink that I wanted a bottle to take home. Yo Cisco the drinks was on point. Natalie beautiful smile and very kind.Adrian I will definitely be back!
One of the best Korean BBQ. They have Halal option. Price is higher but unlimited refills. Chicken and beef are delicious. Side dishes were also delicious. Overall it was a great meal. Customer service and atmosphere were great. They don’t have parking and street parking is difficult.
Awesome service and probably the best tasting kbbq all you can eat that I have been. The portions great and the bulgogi was particularly good alongside their garlic shrimp which we order several of. The pork belly was also great and there was free refills on the fountain drink. HIGHLY recommend this place, we paid 45 dollars but was absolutely worth it for the feast.
Gogi Yogi is a great local Korean barbecue spot. On Thursdays they do an all night happy hour and have three tiers of all you can eat- $35pp, $45pp, and $55pp. Banchan is also included. This place is a fun experience- great for cold nights! The staff also brought out free popsicles and shots!
My partner and I had a great experience at this restaurant. We had never done anything like this before, luckily our server was terrific and helped us cook our meat and was excellent at explaining the menu! The food and atmosphere were terrific as well. We will definitely be back when we visit DC again!
