Tomo Sushi & Karaoke

We just moved to the area and have been on the search for a good Korean spot near Rochester, especially for jjamppong, the Korean Chinese spicy noodle soup. Tomo has been one of the better versions we’ve had so far, flavorful, balanced, and comforting without being overdone. We haven’t tried their Japanese menu yet, but we’ve been back multiple times for the Korean food. One thing that really stands out is the banchan. Great variety, well prepared, and it changes each visit. The fresh kimchi was excellent, and on another visit they served bibimbap as part of the spread, which was a pleasant surprise. They also offer Korean hot dogs and some trendy street food items, which adds a fun, casual feel to the menu without losing authenticity. If you’re missing Korean food or looking for a reliable Korean spot near Rochester, this is a good place to start. Consistent, thoughtful, and clearly cooked with care.

Everything except for the atmosphere was good. Not much cold AC during when I went there only a few fans but I think they are still renovating since they combined with the restaurant inside HMart making it a Korean/japanese street food place. Food was the same. Tasty Korean food from woorijip. Ramen was good enough nothing that would blow you away.

We stumble by chance and I have to say how lucky we were, It has everything that one looks when searching for the good experience in trying something new Very friendly staff Good portions Good prices And good flavor All you can eat garnish ( salad bar ) that includes kimchi, gimbap house salad with ginger dressing etc.. They also have a good variety of alcohol We definitely recommend it And we will definitely be coming back

The atmosphere gives off the feeling that you are eating at a street restaurant in Japan, which is also complented by the wonderful food they serve. My wife ordered the bibimbop bowl ($11)with a side of miso, and I ordered the katsudon with rice ($13) and, surprisingly, yakisoba. even had gimbop, house salad and pickled carrots as sides. They also have water and restaurant made tea for you to drink while you eat. Everything was absolutely delicious, and want to reccomend this to anyone who enjoys or wants to enjoy warm, delicious and cheap Japanese/Korean street meals. And lastly, the service here are really nice and wonderful people. They helped us serve our baby son with rice, and made the experience calm and warming. Do yourself a favor and come visit these wonderful people! (Side note: they also have kareoke rooms for rent. So if you are wanting to party or sing your heart out, definitely give it a shot!)

I love eating here! The food is always amazing — fresh, flavorful, and satisfying every time. Whether I’m grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a full meal, I always leave happy. Highly recommend!

This is where H mart’s food court relocated to. Everything sort of tastes like it’s been melting in plastic for hours. Only one person in our group liked their food. Also there were fruit flies everywhere. The staff were nice. Also, the karaoke in the back has been closed since July from what appears to be either a building or health inspector.

Very pleasant experience. The dining room atmosphere is nice. The service was very quick and friendly. The food was great. I got a Salmon bento box, and it was really good. The price was really reasonable too. I loved how the salmon was cooked. The sushi sample was tasty. I will definitely be going back.
