Delicious katsu sandos and tempura! Everything is fried lightly to a perfect crisp, not overly heavy or oily at all. We cleaned our plates; it was so delicious. Highly recommend getting your katsu sandos with the curry dip, the curry is well seasoned and a perfect consistency. Service was lovely. Our server brought us the mushrooms on the house because they didn’t have my first choice order. She was so sweet, explained the dishes to us when we asked, and everything came out quickly after we ordered! Absolutely a great lunch spot but probably an even better evening snack spot with friends. 10/10 would go back another time! 🍛💖
I'm visiting from Asia and I really loved the food and service! I know people worry about deep-fried food being heavy and oily because I am one of those people, but none of the food we ordered had me feeling that way. 🙂 You can tell they were cooked well and at the right temperature. Serving size was also huge! Shrimp and mushrooms were sooo juicy and the curry flavor was really nice. 100% would recommend. Most importantly, our server was super friendly and made sure we had a nice stay 💚
Every time we come here, it's eerily empty--which baffles me. The space is inviting, the food's solid enough to keep me coming back, and the aesthetics are minimal in that Instagrammable-but-not-trying-too-hard kind of way. Maybe it's the location? Still, service is consistently decent: quiet, attentive, and they'll usually come down to take your order, though QR codes and phone ordering are an option too. The dishes always look amazing, and the ones I've tried mostly live up to the visual promise. Let's start with the mushroom tempura appetizer--crispy, light, and a definite repeat order. For mains, I used to be loyal to the Dill Egg Salad Sando... until I encountered rogue bits of eggshell. Twice. I get it, these things happen (I've made enough egg salad to know), but still, it was enough to ruin the vibe. So I pivoted to the Rosemary Katsu Sando--which quickly stole my heart... until I met the Portobello Katsu Sando. Game over. This is now THE one--perfectly crispy, hearty, and ridiculously satisfying. My husband swears by the Curry Udon with Katsu. I respect it, but it doesn't quite hit my personal flavour profile. To each their own.
This is a very lovely spot. The Hostess was welcoming and attentive. The music was on point. This place is a vibe. We ate half of our orders and were full. The curry was so well seasoned & has a light texture to it, not super thick. The chicken Katsu is so far the best we've had. My son had the shrimp sandwich & he approves. We will definitely come back to try something else. They even have a Nashville hot on the menu!
Great Katsu curry and wonderful service. Cauliflower tempura is also a must have. All food is very reasonably priced and great bang for the buck for a quick lunch/dinner!
I had all intentions of snapping a picture of the food, but I ate one bite and lost my focus. The food was so good! I got the chicken Katsu plate, and it was so good for the price. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the side salad and pasta salad were great sides. The service was quick and friendly. I would absolutely go back to Katsu Bar if I'm ever craving Katsu again! And I'll get a food pic next time!
Went to Katsu Bar with my bf to try their katsu sando and more. We got a couple of items and here's our thoughts on it. Food: For the price, it's pretty worth it considering how much you get. Rosemary Katsu Sando W/Sides: It was good overall minus the bread which were a little on the soft/soggy side. If it was toasted a bit more, it would've held it shape a lot better. Besides that, chicken was tender and the fries were good. Dill Egg Salad Sando: Personally, was okay to me. I can, however, see how many would like this. It's refreshing and perf for the summer. Curry Plate: Chicken Katsu with curry was delicious. Juicy chicken with crispy skin and flavorful curry sauce were much needed. Especially with the soup it comes with. Soup is only for dine-in btw. Crisscut Rose Tteokbokki with Katsu: I, personally, am not a fan of tteokbokki, but found this was yummy. The best part was dipping the chicken katsu into the sauce. Cauliflower Tempura: A must get! It was so good and crispy. Went really well with the garlic aioli. Only downside was that it was extra oily. Service: The service here was great. Attentive and responded with care. Ambiance: It's a casual food spot where you can go anytime. They even have their own strawberry milk which you should try. Parking: Plenty of free parking available.
