I was thoroughly disappointed with the house fried rice from this location. When I order this dish from other Bonchon locations around the city, it typically includes fried rice with eggs, red bell peppers, onions, scallions, cooked in soy garlic sauce, topped with sesame seeds, and served with a side of sliced cucumbers—exactly as advertised on Bonchon’s online menu. This order, however, was the bare minimum: fried rice coated in soy garlic sauce with some chicken and none of the other listed ingredients. The quality and presentation were lacking and not at all what I expected, especially compared to Bonchon’s usual standards.

First time trying their wings. It’s crunchy but they overcooked the wings. I had plain crunchy wings with sauce on the side

This location is horrible. If you can, find elsewhere for korean chicken. This is our first time coming here and we had to wait 30 mins for just 2 items on the menu. We also ordered mix 4 wings + 2 drums. And after getting home, it was all just drums and no wings! Tried to call back the store for refund but of course no picks up the phone. Never coming back here again...

Was super excited for Bon Chon to be here on the Island. However it quickly turned sour. Preface: order in person for take out. I understand today was their grand opening and there will be problem with orders however what I witness while in store is disappointing. While in store, they stated they were behind in orders and would need 30 minutes before taking additional orders via phone and in person which is understandable. However I watched as staff continue to take phone orders in front of customers in store. Which I find disrespectful to say the least. The food was definitely overprice for the proportion I received. All the containers were half filled. Preface: I ordered for take out which may differ from in person experience. Soy Garlic Wing: seasoned well and nice crunch despite being 12 minutes away. Bulgogi: paid $20 for just beef and seasoned onions. On the menu stated it served with rice which I did not received. The meat was nicely seasoned but quite tough to eat. Tteokbokki: served with two vegetables potstickers. The Mozzarella cheese placed on top overpower the entire dish. Japchae: plenty of ingredients other than noodles $15 Bulgogi Bimbim bowl or Bonchon bowl: typically bimbimbap comes with the red pepper sauce. I did not received any. Bulgogi and onions were nicely season and flavor once again but the texture of the meat were hard to chew. Overall spent: roughly $100

Not the best looking store of the franchise. Food wasn't great compared to the other locations

The tteokbokki by itself is almost $19 and the portion size would leave a small Victorian child still hungry. Was disappointed the last time I got food from here and figured it was a fluke. Was in the mood for tteokbokki and ordered. Spent $54 (tip no included) on a meal for my wife and I. Oh boy oh boy I received the containers and could see the bottom. I just paid $19 for spicy sadness covered in cheese. I work hard for every dollar I earn and I'd rather withdraw every penny from the bank, go to the Verrazano and empty my pockets than support this place again. My disappointment is immeasurable. Go elsewhere for your Korean cravings 😒 Edit: I requested a refund from Grubhub for the teokbokki specifically and I received it, because they thought my resoning was valid. The restaurant is going against Grubhub to charge me for the half empty container of sadness they thought was right to serve people. They did this the last time and I let it slide not this time.
