Bawi Korean BBQ

I ended up at this place with a friend who is an extremely picky eater. If it hadn't been for the tall, blonde server working who explained every bit of the menu to us before we sat down and the two tables we could see getting their food, we probably wouldn't have stayed. I have to say, though, that every bit of this meal was engaging and enjoyable. We ended up getting the Premium Adult Meal which came with free appetizers and a larger selection of meat. Starting off with Spring rolls and the fried dumplings, we were off to a good start. Then, out came the unlimited add-ons, jalapeños, pickled beet wraps, and Kim chi were what we ordered and he brought us all of the sauces listed on the menu without us having to ask for them. Then the meal came out as we were enjoying the apps, and our server was super knowledgeable on how to cook everything. (We both work in food service, so we know how it is.) Being all you can eat is a tough challenge in the food world, but we were both stuffed beyond our limits with just the first course! My advice, skip the shrimp (its just kind of boring), get some spicy pork bulgogi, some beef bulgogi, and for the love of God, mix everything in different combinations throughout your meal! You will not be disappointed, just don't leave anything un-eaten... there is a $10 charge for un-eaten food. We absolutely loved Bawi! And the next time we get up to Springfield from Branson we will be back! With our boys in tow!

Always good food. Had AYCE BBQ and everything was great, good cuts, very flavorful. We drove over an hour to come here.

I come to Bawi every 1/2 weeks with my wife. Christopher is an attentive server who is really good at his job. The food is always fresh, a really good variety in sides. The Corn/Kimchi are literally amazing. We opt in for Beef Bulgogi as it's the best I've had at any KBBQ place, their Pork Belly and Jowl is also to die for. I'd recommend giving this place a try. Been here more times than I can count!

The wait staff was outstanding and the food was great. You do grill it yourself at the table so being at least one person who knows how to cook meats and veggies. The marinades and sauces are top notch. There are free samples of certain drinks there and the lady helping us go through them was fun to talk to, courteous, and knew her stuff. The experience was fun and the whole house seemed eager to please and good hearted. On the way out at closing time the staff was gathered and having fun tasting new test kitchen products with their chef showing their energetic passion for quality and teamwork. The food was great but the people were just as impressive. I'd invite any one of them to sit at our table if I could 🙂

My husband and I have never been here before and decided to go for a date. The waiter (Christopher) didn't take the time to explain how anything worked so we figured it out on our own. Food was excellent! Restaurant was clean. Christopher was slow to come back and check on us. Finally, when we got the bill, he said that he could cash us out at the table and walked off . Tired of waiting so we walked up front and found Christopher sitting down on his phone. Then a nice waitress checked us out.... My husband was generous enough to tip him (which he didn't deserve how much he gave him) But all in all the food was great but out waiter was NOT.

Love the food, fresh and filling. I had the beef brisket, spicy chicken, pork belly and tofu. I never had Korean BBQ before, love the grill on the table and I was able to cook the meat myself. Makes a fun experience on a date or with family. Lots of vegetables, soup and rice great. Love how at the end of the meal you get ice cream! Definitely will go back. Great price too, all you can eat for $24!

It was an unpleasant experience, and an expensive one I must say. The 'premium' food had a strange, pungent after-taste to it, especially the Shrimp. Even some of the meat offerings, had that unusually 'strange' taste. In all fairness, perhaps that is what Korean food is supposed to taste like. The sides, namely the soup, was just ok. The rice was fine. The 'other' stuff looked and smelled weird, but I tried some of it, and decided on-the-spot that I didn't care for it either. Great atmosphere with an interior design that is amazing, but this food just wasn't for me. To spend almost 100.00 with the 18% tip on a lunch, is wasted money that I will never get back.
