QUICK EDIT This review was for an absolutely amazing little Korean BBQ place called Korea Garden. The owner packed ot up and opened a spot in Pembroke..her daughter told us they were leaving savannh. We went in there so much it was our favorite place to eat. We were sad to see them go, but I hope to see them if I can ever find what there new restaurant is...it's weird that Google kept this review for the new place that's opening ..or maybe it's opened now I don't know. Bit this isn't the review you were looking for Everything changed, the quality of the food, the flavors of the food, the entire experience. This was our main number one place we liked to go to just chill relax and eat food that we thought made us feel like a grandmother cooked a homemade meal, you could close your eyes and taste every little ingredient. And just feel the love. Now it's like everything is made quickly with subpar ingredients, not much flavor ( comparatively to the years before) even the rice seemed like it was rushed. What a shame. We all have our bad days though I suppose.
Ordered my fave, spicy pork. I’m not sure if they’ve changed ownership but it just wasn’t the same. It’s still good, just not that great taste that I’d grown accustomed to. I’ll still go back though. We also had wings.
This is the first All you can eat Korean I've been too since I left Japan The food is good, I wish you had a little more control of the meat but the waitress and greeter were both friendly and helpful. I would go back again.
The server was nice. The food was okay. Expensive for sure. We didn't dine on the BBQ meat cooked in front of you side of the place. It was outdated. The food is not that great.
Loved everything!! Presentation of food beautiful! Husband and I got the Hot Stone Seafood Bibimap. Excellent. The sides, I wanted to take home jars of the kimchi and cucumbers. Delicious. This will be our new go to place for Korean barbecue!
I feel like 2 stars is being very nice after the experience I had. So my brother, my kids and I come to give this place a shot. So I have been to other Korea bbq places and this one is by far the worst one I have been to. Our waitress sat as down and began explaining the rules to us. She told us that we had 90 min to order our food and that we must eat everything we order. We told her to two meats we wanted to start with and ten minutes late she came out to us. Then a male waiter came and questioned my kids ages (7,9) then he left. Everytime we made an order , he would question if it was for the whole table and of course it was. Each order had a 10 minutes delay so be prepared to order while cooking. When they bought the food they put it on the grill and kept turning the meat for us. I finally told them to stop as we knew what we were doing. The whole experience of doing Korea bqq is cooking it yourself not having them do it for you. Our 2nd to last order took about 20 minutes, the male waiter didn’t tell our waitress our order and then they got the ticket confused for another table then they lost the ticket so we had to reorder. 90 minutes has passed and the manager or owner came back to inform us that’s we would normally pay for because it was still cooking , mind you they delayed bring your order out by 10 minutes. She explained that since they didn’t explain that it would be ok just this one time. She also asked them how much time we had left after an hour in. My brother and I are around 170-180 if you were wondering. Would I go back there? Nope I won’t go back.
Location is a bit tricky to maneuver from the main street of E. Derenne' Ave. Right behind bp gas ⛽ station. It's a big spacious place with just a few eaters. The service was mediocre. We ordered a Korean Tofu Stew with seafood. With the price charged for lunch, I would expect some shrimp 🦐. Apparently seafood to them doesn't include shrimp 🦐. Savannah is known and proud for their local shrimp, and we got nuttin' 😁😂. The seafood tasted like from the frozen mixed seafood with a few different types claims. We also got some BBQ ribs. Too sweet for our liking as MSG is quite present all over the meat. Nicely Korea condiments 😋 .
