Lots of stores closed or vacant on Sunday afternoon. Security kicked me out for sitting and watching the turtles in the pond. It's pretty, but not very inviting

La Arcada Courtyard is a charming Spanish style shopping Plazza on State Street between Figueroa St and Anapamu St in downtown Santa Barbara. The Plazza is decorated with colourful tiles and has several cast bronze statues and fountains. There are many small specialty shops, restaurants, and a wine shop. The main fountain has a number of large and small turtles in it. This is a great place to stroll, shop and have a leisurely meal or snack. When visiting Santa Barbara this is a must see.

We had a tasty lunch at Mizza Artisan Pizza, talked with Ben Franklin, visited some cute turtles and shopped at Lush and Skechers. It was a very good day 😀

Lots of cool stores to visit, and we actually went on a day they were having their fiesta days so there were a lot of cool venders out as well. I love all of the landscaping and decor they have too. Definitely worth a visit.

Very attractive, nicely decorated, and neat shopping center.
