Matko

We stumbled upon this little gem while looking for a good Korean option and we couldn’t be happier that we found it. Great atmosphere, super friendly staff and the food was outstanding! We had the beef bulgogi and spicy chicken bowls and both were delicious. The place isn’t big, but it has ample seating inside and out and we had no trouble finding a spot. If you love Korean food and are anywhere near the Mission, get yourself to Matko soon!

Sadly, i have to agree with Faith and others posting one star. When my wife told the gentleman working the counter how flavorless and unappetizing our food was, we didnt recieve even as much as an i'm sorry or what can we do to improve. Why would anyone patronize a restaurant when the staff doesnt care about customer experience? We've enjoyed korean food both homemade and in Seoul, so we know what to expect, and we didnt get a taste of it at Matko.

Matko "Flavors of Korea" delivers an exceptional dining experience. The food is simply amazing, bursting with authentic Korean flavors. The service is spectacular—my server went above and beyond, providing detailed information that ensured I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and had all my expectations met. Even provided me with samples to try out something new. Highly recommended!

Loved these ladies who provided excellent customer service. The ambiance was chill and quiet. Food a bit dry for the most part tasty not spicy at all. Thank you!

Wonderful spot to grab a good mid healthy bite to eat. Fresh, affordable, and comfy space to eat solo or with a plus one. Very laid back vibes in here. The menu isn’t so vast but there are no wrong options on the menu. I will be back. I recommend the tofu soup, chicken box, and or the chicken bowl with the spicy sauce!

I had high hopes for this new place. Got more ice than the drink. Tasted nothing special. I noticed an interesting way to make their milk-mix of water, white liquid and syrup

Nice Korean hangover beef 🥩 soup with Napa cabbage 🥬 I had it when I first saw it. And the traditional Korean multi-grain drink is amazing too. It is so yummy like my breakfast drinks.
