Izumi | Japanese Restaurant

We were happened in the area last summer and kiddo wanted some sushi. We arrived during lunch time on Saturday and were seated immediately. Our kiddo wanted to sit at the bar facing the river with boats. The weekend special was very affordable: 3 rolls for $33. The rolls were big and the fish slices were thick. - California Roll: good flavor but I preferred to have thinner rice layer. - 5 Star Roll: delicious. The sashimi pieces weren't fishy and the shrimp tempura was crispy. The sauce was good - not too much. - Dragon Roll: my favorite. The unagi and shrimp tempura are my favorite combo in a roll. The sauce was just enough & not overwhelming. - Pork Katsu don: The pork katsu was tender and the sauce was good. The portion was quite generous even hubby said that he was stuffed.

Absolute 10/10 experience! the service was QUICK and very kind. I dropped my chopstick and our server immediately got me a new one, i didn’t even have to ask. He made sure to get our order in as soon as we walked in so we could grab the last few mins of happy hour. and the sushi was phenomenal! the happy hour prices were also excellent and we had an amazing time:) it’s very calm and quiet inside as well.

This place is a hidden gem to the neighborhood. They are always running some kind of specials with discounts or limited time promos, and the service is very attentive. Its not methodical and intensive like a high end restaurant trying to be fancy, you just feel that they care. They're rarely too busy to seat you right away, and the rolls are larger and definitely give you your money’s worth

I came here for lunch with my boyfriend and we had FANTASTIC service! Everyone was so polite and welcoming. We were seated right away and our food came out quickly! I had the Rocklin Roll and Philly Roll and he had the 3 item bento box. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful!

"There’s always room for improvement" We went here for a happy hour and we did not get disappointed. this is by far most reasonable price for a fresh sushi spot. Fast - clean - accurate and RELAXING sushi spot near Westfield mall 💯

Came here the other night for some dinner with my family. Had a good time. We were really hungry so we ordered 5 rolls and could only finish 3 of them. The rolls are really big (not complaining). Next time we'll only order 3. This place feels more authentic than other places around here. They do have a sushi boat river. They would have the biggest crowd in town for lunch if they used it.

Izumi is a gem from over the years. Coming back to the area, I was so happy with the size and flavor of the rolls. Even the Five Star and Rocklin roll are staples to Izumi and still so good! Their bento box is awesome too. Very simple ambience in restaurant and very nice team who works here. I saw a sign that they and the best tempura shrimp from a magazine review - And I didn’t think much of it. But they were right - super crunchy and quality batter.
