Stopped in here unplanned while in the area and I do wish we had come with more people to experience more of the meats and sides. (The whole table can share but portions are decently sized so we were full before trying everything. Only other thing I always forget is that Korean spicy has much more heat than regular spicy. I ordered one of the hotter soup bases and it was almost too spicy for me to enjoy and I like spicy food. Otherwise food and service were excellent.
Honestly the overall experience was great. We have had hot pot before but never Korean BBQ and this place had both. You can pick either one or pay an up charge for both. Most of the table had hot pot but I decided on both. Kind of hard to manage especially since there is only one grill for the BBQ on the table and we were a party of 6 so we ran out of room on the table. Food quality was great even though one of our dinner guests didn't like the broth she picked. They do allow you to pick another broth which is a plus. Our server was awesome and food came out pretty fast. They have a small salad bar with fruits, different salads and all your sauces. The only cons were the wait time, we were quoted an hour and they texted us our table was ready but the hostess kept seating smaller parties before she decided to seat us. The only other complaint was the soup spoon, it was more of a ladle than a spoon. It was worth the drive and wait and a great experience.
Absolute worst experience ever. The lady at the front told myself and my spouse to "stand by the wall". She didn’t even take our name. She just said it was a 40 min wait. After 30 mins I checked on the wait and she lied at said, " I told you to scan the QR code". I’m guessing the man at the front was the manager so she had to lie in front of him. Hated this experience! NEVER coming back. UPDATE: The waitress we had for our table was very sweet and accommodating! Please make sure the host are respectful as well.
The atmosphere and service were top-notch. I tried some foods I never had before and I just didn't care for them, like the baby octopus and the chicken foot. My friend told me afterwards you don't actually eat the whole chicken foot just part of it. It was very crunchy. I tried one of the sauce recipes and didn't care for that either. It was a new experience and I'm glad I tried it but it's just not my type of cuisine.
This wasn’t worth the $100 we spent here. Our server had a party of 12+ and was clearly overwhelmed that he was still being sat. It took an hour before we were able to eat our food. Our food was delivered and we have no utensils to eat. We had to ask other waitresses/food runners for help. Then all they would do is tell our waiter that we needed help and then we would be waiting. Our drinks were empty and the amount of time we had to wait, we did NOT get to enjoy ourselves. After watching everything behind the bar, another gentleman asks if we wanted to order more. I’m not sure if he was a manager or not but we just wanted the check. I didn’t complain at the store because it wasn’t the waiters fault that the restaurant kept over seating him, but for him to continually say he was busy with the party, we Were paying customer too. Plus there bathrooms look like they’ve never seen bleach. Update: I woke up around 3:30 and started vomiting. I can only assume that their kitchen is as clean as their bathrooms.
First, make sure you give yourself enough time. Without a reservation plan for at least a 30mins-1hr wait, then the meal will take a 1-2hrs. This is not a quicknin and out. The process is a little overwhelming at 1st if you've never done it before. Figuring out which broth you'd like. What food to order for the broth and then which for the BBQ grill. There are a ton of options. Then you need to go to the sauce bar and figure out how to make a sauce you might like. So there's a lot. Once you start to figure it out, it's goes a little easier. The food is tasty, it comes raw and you cook it. There are hits and misses, but you can try things you might not have before. We had a lot of fun as a family, cooking and trying things. We sat at the bar while waiting for our tables. Service is good, not great but good, and they will try to help somewhat and explain things. Well worth trying it. What you get is worth the price, but like $30 a person. Think it would be a fun date option. We will go back,
We just came for dinner last night with a friend and had a fantastic time! It's not a typical hot pot, which is a large pot in the middle of the table, but instead everyone has their own pot and there's a communal BBQ spot in the middle for KBBQ for those who want to do that. My husband and I had hot pot with our two kids (3 and 4 years old - we cooked for them) and our friend had the Korean BBQ, which he really enjoyed. They have an extensive selection of hot pot ingredients, including some of my personal favorites: lotus root, watercress, winter melon, quail eggs, and cuttlefish balls. There's also a large selection of sauces (which I highly recommend finding a combination that suits your palate as it's - in my opinion - a crucial part of the hot pot experience). The servings of each ingredient are a good size - not so much that you can't finish off a portion amongst two people (though it may be a stretch for an individual) Service was prompt and polite - our server was very timely about checking in any time we were running low on ingredients, and though we came right at dinner time (6pm), there wasn't a long wait for food or to be seated. It was about half full when we arrived and filling up more as we left, so I'd recommend coming earlier to avoid the rush, even on a weeknight. There's quite a bit of seating, though, like a hibachi spot, some of the larger tables are used to seat multiple parties. The largest tables can fit 10, and there's a variety of different arrangements. We had a great time, as did our kids, and our friend (who had never had hot pot or Korean barbecue before) and I'm already looking forward to coming back!
