Sweetspot

We went to Sweetspot for lunch yesterday. Life has gotten away from us and this was the first time we have been back since they moved to this new location 2 years ago! We definitely won’t wait that long to come back though! The food is phenomenal, and they are expanding to include more Sailing Boat items since that Chinese restaurant closed. The ramen was absolutely delicious and just what was needed on a cool autumn afternoon! My husband got his at level 2 spiciness, and it was divine. We each chose the Chicken Shoyu ramen, along with fried dumplings for an appetizer (wonderfully light and crispy, with a very authentic pork filling, just like my mom makes!). I do wish the ramen included the soft boiled egg (costs an additional $1.25), which usually is included in an authentic bowl of ramen soup at most restaurants I have been to in the past. Our lunch was finished with two perfectly baked, lightly sweetened tea cookies to complement the umami saltiness of the ramen soup. We cannot wait to come back again, especially to try the addition of dim sum items that are coming in the near future. Redding needs more restaurants like these (with ethnic food, independently owned)!

Plenty of vegetarian options! The Garlic Noodles had fine chopped garlic and a well balanced ratio. The Peanut Noodle Salad had a bit too many noodles but otherwise a great sauce and plenty of veggies. The Veggie Miso Ramen was excellent, especially the mushrooms. Great dessert selection too!

The food was incredible. Our order was ready when we arrived. Staff was friendly, kind and helpful. Restaurant was clean and had a great vibe. We love it here!! Trying the gelato next!

This is a very cute clean place with very good food. We had dumplings and ramen. Gluten-free options available and they are delicious. Very comfortable and you can get a delicious cupcake or Gelato for dessert. Will definitely be back!

Truly excellent ramen. Would recommend the 1/2 n 1/2. Don't forget the crispy Fried Garlic.

One of our favorite little spots. Great service and the food is always goooooooooood. Best Ramen in town and love the expanded menu bringing back some of Sailing Boats classics. Don't you dare leave with out a sweet treat. 😋

Placed a pretty big order on Christmas Eve. Order was ready on time. The food was delicious. Hot, fresh, and flavorful just like I remember getting at the Sailboat restaurant. Portions were large as well. The crab rolls , egg rolls, and Mongolian Beef were especially good. Will definitely be ordering here again soon. They also gave us a few cupcakes which was a nice surprise and they were delicious as well.
