YAMU THAI JAPANESE RESTAURANT

This is my second time back to Yamu. I had the Red Curry Chicken, spicy tuna roll, seaweed salad. It was fantastic. The food was fantastic. The sushi was fresh and perfect. I did take out and they were super nice. Offered a table and water while I waited. I just moved to the area. This will be my go to on my way back home. Highly recommend.

This was such a lovely small business experience. The food was amazing. In particular I would like to highlight their Crab Rangoons and the "First Lover Roll"(not pictured because it got eaten too fast lol). And the service was astounding. It’s a family business and everyone was so so kind. Truly felt welcomed 🙂

Amazing food! The sushi was fresh and the curry was delicious, excellent customer service as well. I will definitely be coming back soon!! The location is so close to the beach, couldn’t be any better.

We loved this place. The food was delicious. Those crispy wontons were my favorite appetizer. I can’t wait to return and try more Thai specialties. You could not have better service anywhere in South Florida.

I stumbled upon this place by chance and was pleasantly surprised. Despite its compact size, the atmosphere inside is warm and inviting. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The menu offers a great variety, and the service is quick. I would have loved the green tea to be loose-leaf rather than from a bag, but that’s just a wish for the future. Overall, a lovely spot worth visiting!

5 Stars — A Flavorful Escape at Yamu Thai and Japanese Yamu Thai and Japanese in Pompano Beach delivered an unforgettable dining experience! I ordered the green curry, Thai tea, and finished with their fried ice cream—and everything was exceptional from start to finish. The green curry was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced. It had just the right kick without overwhelming the fresh flavors of the veggies and tender beef. Paired with jasmine rice, every bite was comforting and full of depth. The Thai tea was the ideal complement—smooth, lightly sweet, and served ice-cold. It balanced the spice of the curry perfectly and added a refreshing touch to the meal. To top it all off, the fried ice cream was a fun and satisfying treat—crispy on the outside, cold and creamy on the inside. It was beautifully plated and the perfect ending to a flavorful meal. The ambiance was inviting, and the service was warm and attentive. Nadia welcoming us in and Nat being our server was very awesome. Whether you're craving bold Thai flavors or just looking for a relaxing night out, Yamu is a must-visit in Pompano Beach. I’ll definitely be coming back! Not to mention, the location near the beach was really nice, nearby a massive boat yard pass by the plaza to the bridge, you spot the Hillsboro Beach Light House.

Small mom and pop restaurant love it. My cousin and I dined in for a late lunch and omg was everything good. From the moment we walked in, we were pleasantly greeted from the moment we left. It was a pleasant lunch 😋 must check out. The prices were great. My boys loved the Thai ice tea. And normally it isn't my fave but this spot you can really taste the thai tea so good. We got a few items from edamame, vegetable tempura appetizers krab rangoon, dumplings to variety of sushi rolls including dynamite, California, jb tempura, crunchy spicy tuna and spicy jalapeño salmon lover roll. Then also the teriyaki with brown rice entree. Everything was amazing. For a party of 6 a little under $150 including drinks and all yhe dishes. Not bad at all. The place is secluded. Clean. Chefs were amazing. Thank you for a great experience. We will be back. My boys are dying to come back already!
