Hop Häus Craft Eatery - Southington, CT

Stopped by today with my wife, we split a Frenchman burger which is a burger cut in half and put in a bowl of french onion soup. It was absolutely amazing. The place was clean, staff was friendly (Jenny was amazing!) and the food was fantastic. Really couldnt ask for a better dining experience for our lunch. Coffee was good according to my wife! Cant wait to come back.

My friend and I had such a nice night out here! Totally loved the vibe, and the menu had so many interesting choices. We loved everything that we tried! Highlights included the queso for 2, meatballs, cauliflower satay, and fig melt. I haven’t seen anything like the Frenchman’s burger before! Such a cool idea and perfect for French onion soup lovers. Every menu item was unique in some way, and they had a great list of seasonal cocktails. Since I don’t drink, the bartender was so nice and made a special mocktail with cranberry and rosemary! The staff was so friendly, and everything was delicious. I’ll definitely be visiting again! Update: visited again with their new chef and the food is even better! I can’t say enough good things about this spot. Love the creative taproom style tapas!

Update: this place used to be great, but shrinkflation has hit them hard. Group of 4 ate here at 730pm on a Friday night in August. There were some empty tables when we arrived. By 830pm it was empty. As for the food, they no longer have the porky mac. They replaced it with a bison chili mac, with very little bison. The portion size are about half what they used to be, but the pricing is mostly the same. A piece of pork belly that used to garnish the porky mac is now on the menu by itself for $15. 3 hush puppies are $14. The captain's chicken and waffles is no longer an entree, but half the size and on the small plates menu for $15. The full size dish used to be like $19 They also didn't bus our table at all, so by the time they gave us the check, we had to move dirty dishes around just to sign it. The cobb salad was good though - their ranch dressing is great so I'll give them that. Unfortunately, it's not enough to make me go back. Really disappointing - used to be my favorite local place. But the menu redesign and pricing makes it not worth it. Hard pass.

Food here was better than expected. We were in the area and stopped for lunch. I had the pouting with the added pulled pork and it was pretty good. Kids chicken tenders were OK, my daughter ate two of them so that's a win. Would go back here if in town. Spent about $70 (2 kids 2 adults) before tax and tip.

Great place for a beer and and a burger. Hard working wait staff. Good atmosphere. Oh and the potato chip nachos are super yummy. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve been wanting to visit this place for months and finally had the chance, and it was great! The food was perfect and I was able to make slight changes to my order. The drinks were so good we had to order seconds. The waitress Mia, was very professional, and very interactive! She brought our drinks and food promptly and everything was accurate. Mia is a real asset to this restaurant, and I hope we get her again when we re-visit. It was a perfect evening with friends and family. I can’t wait to dine here again!

This place has friendly and attentive service, an excellent menu, and a great rotating selection of beer, plus plenty of off-street parking and proximity to a cycling/running path across the street, so that makes it a perfect meeting spot after you burn some calories!
