Huge portions and tons of delicious sides! Dishes are authentic and perfectly spicy. Not too much or too little. One of the best seasoned bulgogi I've ever had. The soups are hearty and flavorfull. The servers are incredibly friendly and helpful to customers making decisions if your not as familiar with the menu items.
This restaurant offers omakase with a Korean twist, featuring fresh seafood, sashimi, and oysters that were delicious. I came with a group of 6, and gratuity was included. The service was very friendly and polite. Overall, the food was good, though not particularly outstanding.
This might be the best Korean restaurant I've ever been to in the States, and I would know because I lived in Korea for 7 years. Everything from the start was top notch (the "banchan", or side dishes, were super fresh and tasty). The entrees were excellent and served with generous portions. The service was amazing, as the servers are multilingual (Korean, English, and probably Spanish). The atmosphere is classy and relaxing. Another unique aspect is the little complimentary snack bar in the front (perfect for the little ones as we were about to take a flight). All in all, 5 stars!
Why is this place so slept on? I'm so excited to have discovered this gem. Starting from making the reservation, I had a good feeling about this restaurant. I informed the owner that it was my father's birthday, and he catered the dining experience by asking if we were in for korean food or omakase. I let him know we'd like to try the omakase experience for a birthday, and he guaranteed he would treat us well. When we walked into this intimate restaurant, I knew I was in for something extraordinary. They set up happy birthday banners and had the table already set up for us to dine. The atmosphere is quaint with the perfect blend of traditional charm. But what truly elevated this dining experience was the unparalleled attention to detail, which can be credited to the passionate owner who orchestrates everything with great timing. The owner, who is not just the face of the restaurant but also an integral part of the culinary experience, curates each dish with a level of care. Not only the sashimi, but the soups, salads, stews, and cooked dishes were exceptional. The personal touches were felt in every interaction. The owner made it a point to engage with each guest, creating a welcoming and familial atmosphere that made the entire experience feel exclusive yet unpretentious. Their warmth and passion for the craft were infectious, making it clear that they’re not just serving food—they’re sharing a piece of their heart with every dish. The servers and owner were so friendly and made sure check on us regularly. The omakase experience here is much more valuable compared to any other place in Philly, and comes with the charm of Korean hospitality and 서비스 (aka "service" as Koreans say, with iced coffees and snacks to go)! I can’t wait to return for another meal of exceptional food and hospitality. Highly recommend to anyone seeking a valuable and meaningful dining experience! Wish I took more photos, but we were busy eating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Three of us tried omakase on father's day. I honestly didnt like the taste of food and it was not really worthy of $65 per person.. and be aware, they charge $7 for using credit card... so after food+fee+taxes+tip, it came out like 252... which is insane food itself was 195......I dont think I will return
This restaurant offers incredibly fresh sashimi! The fish is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the quality is top-notch. The presentation is beautiful, and you can really taste the freshness in every bite. If you're a fan of sashimi, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!
Came here with hopeful expectations. Left feeling very satisfied. Food was great, service was great and price was great. We got the hot sake which tied the experience up nicely. And when you are done filling your belly, hit up the fun sweets bar by the entrance. Definitely going back and bringing some friends along.
