Came here after church with my dad and son and the food did not disappoint. We came specifically for the crawfish. I ordered 3lbs hot/original and my dad got 2lbs original mild. We were both very impressed!! I usually opt for the garlic butter flavors whenever I visit a Viet Cajun spot, but this time I opted for just the original. We were blown away! Crawfish was favorable throughout. The spice level was on point. Crawfish were a mix of mostly medium and small but there were some large in there. This is to be expected in January.. all in all, I’m so happy we stopped here. The service was amazing. The gentlemen servicing us made sure to check in and was ready to assist us. Honestly, the customer service alone sold us! So happy we came to this place and I will for sure this my crawfish rotation.
So I tried Boiling Dragon in Pearland 🤯 100,000/10!!!!! The Crawfish was STEAMING HOT!!!!!! I was so Impressed!!! Down to the claw!!! Hottest Crawfish I had the last 5 seasons. Made by the order!!!!! FRESH! FLAVOR!!!!!! SAOAKED! JUICY!!! I Met the owner! He remembered me from my post and was so pleasant!!!! AND THENNNNNN we tried the Fried Cheesecake 🤯 It was honestly the Best Desert I've EVER tasted. I got the Original Cajuan HOT. It was good and Spicey. They made my Crawfish dreams come true for real! They are definitely at the top of my list!!!!
Another new spot try out for us, trying all the local Crawfish hot spots in town. Boiling Dragon seems to be popping as a local favorite. While it didn't take the top spot for us, it's definitely worth a visit. Service was great, friendly, attentive, and helpful making selections. Sitting area is on the smaller side, but always had a table available for new comers on our visit. My favorite was the "Peking Chicken." Just perfection in such a small bite and was a great start to our meal. Her favorite, was the Cajun shrimp. Just the right amount of spice and flavor. The crawfish was good but would suggest keeping it simple. Butter & garlic with extra Cajun spice. Their flavors are added after they are prepared and why they lack some flavor. Plenty of parking on our visit. Plenty of options to select from on the menu to meet anyone's needs. We will definitely be back to try more items off the menu. What's your favorite? How was your visit? Until next time.
Ordered the shrimp crab puffs ($8), Dragon Bowl ($22), and their chopped up chicken with fries ($13). I definitely recommend the first two. They came out super fresh. The crab puffs were golden crispy and the filling was perfectly seasoned. The dragon bowl came with a combination of shrimp, catfish, and crispy Brussels sprouts over the softest rice ever, drizzled with a crawfish Alfredo sauce. Would go again just for that dish!!! Soooo good. Everything I ordered is easily shared with 2-3 people. Skip on the fries though - chicken was a little dry and it was average overall. Friendly service, but there is a wait time when you order your food since it takes a while to fry or cook!
We've dined in and have taken food to go. The food seems to be cooked as ordered due to wait time, which isn't long (unless your hangry, lol). It's hot and fresh which is always appreciated. The staff are always welcoming and helpful with menu options. I have some favorites that I go to, but I'm definitely not leaving without an order of the Shrimp Krab Puffs. Yummy!! Lol. Oh, and portion sizes are pretty decent. I feel what you expect to get for the price aligns with how much food you get in the order. I'll have to come back and add pictures, if I can edit this later.
We visited on a Thursday evening. There was no line. They have a nice sized eating area. Dragon Seafood Rice: It was fantastic. It was a good large portion of rice. It had a decent amount of crab meat. It only had a few shrimp, but the flavor was great! We had plenty of rice left over for 2 meals. Regular French fries: No complaints. Good portion size and good crisp. Crab Daddy bao: favorite of the 2 seafood options. Good flavor, nice fry, and not fishy. Shrimpolicious bao: it was flavorful but a bit messy to eat. Peking chicken bao: my favorite of the meat baos. The chicken had good flavor, a nice fry on it, it was still juicy and tender. Lil Ms. Piggy: this was too salty/seasoned for me. Don't get me wrong, it was good. The pork was tender, and the flavor was good. It just had too much of the sauce for me. I would only get it again if I could get the sauce on the side. Do not ask for a cup of water. Buy a bottle if you want water. Excuse the photos. We were tearing it up before I remembered to take pictures. Just realized how bad the pics are, but I was in the middle of something 🙃
I have been coming here for over 6 years & I ALWAYS get the Dragon Bowl. Last time I went there they had increased the price of the bowl but gave you half the portion size. That bowl cost $30. I bought 2 and we were very disappointed in how much they shrunk the bowl. They also charged us for extra sauce but did not give us extra sauce. I understand inflation but at this point they are just robbing people. After being a customer for 6 years I had to sever the relationship. I refuse to willingly get robbed. Food taste good, but they are shrinking the sizes and increasing the prices.
