H Mart Paramus

Small store but it's pretty well stocked, they have a good selection of Korean & Japanese items, the aisles are a little narrow, and their food court could have used more space. Overall a good experience. They have a Tous Les Jours (bakery) that has really good cakes & drinks, i recommend the Tiramasu latte.

A Korean-focused grocery supermarket, part of a large chain, a little bit pricey than other Asian supermarkets, where shopping for ingredients is the main event, complemented by ready-to-eat food options.

this is my first time ever at an H Mart. That was a great big store with lots of variety and great products. Definitely will come back here again. besides the fish, but this was the only picture I had taken.

Ethical issues in the seafood section: blue crab (live) without any water, suffocating. Live lobsters are double-bagged, and they are unwilling to "unalive" the lobster for you. It’s fairly normal to stuff many fish in a tank at these types of stores, but it’s not ideal. I left the store distraught after seeing these poor animals. Otherwise the selection is incredible and prices can be really good. Food court is pricy but food is yummy.

It's really pretty store offering. Great produce and meat and different types of cookware and has a lot of things that just a regular supermarket has. But the specialty of Korean items that you can't get anywhere else is just excellent and obviously also has a lot of seafood. Everything looks fresh and amazing

I have visited many Hmart stores, but this one stands out. Their cashier service is truly terrible, there's no worse than this. There was a Korean lady who would only smile at guests who spoke Korean, while others... I'm sorry, she would simply ignore you and treat you coldly. She even couldn't hide her emotions, even though it was necessary for her job. Honestly speaking, she is not suitable for this job. The other Hispanic employees in the store are full of energy, smiling and enthusiastic. In contrast, this Korean employee is completely different. I don't know much about the corporate culture of Korean enterprises and how they train and require their employees. But if employees are in the service industry, they need to have the awareness of serving customers, which is the most basic common sense. Cashiers are the last important link in the store and are an important reflection of the customer's experience. If the cashier treats customers differently, it will ruin the entire shopping experience. If the enterprise doesn't pay attention to this, it will gradually lose the support of the public. I am a loyal customer of Hmart and will continue to support it. I hope Hmart can do a good job in service details and not let us down. Happy 40th anniversary! A one-star negative review for the poor shopping experience.

The prices on some of the produce is so much cheaper than other markets in the area. Nice variety of mushrooms (shitake, beech, woodear) and bok choy. The seafood department is impressive. The carry things you won't find other places.
