Value: Standard, with pricing on the higher end compared to similar restaurants; can find better imo Interior: Quite lively during peak hours. Our table area unfortunately could've used some cleaning before we were seated Service: Extremely slow but the available staff were trying their best 😮‍💨 Logistics: Parking can be busy during peak hours, and our party had no wait for a Sunday dinner.

Fresh meat and vegetables! Their hot pot soup flavor is quite closed to the flavor we tasted in China. Delicious!

My comfort food is soup and my favorite is going to hot pot restaurants. It was my first time and first day in Palo Alto. I live and work in the Washington DC area. My son and I were in the Palo Alto area because he was attending a weeklong in-house AI & Democracy seminar-workshop at Stanford University. I was going around Palo Alto for one week. I was very happy to find this place for two very important reasons: 1) knowing I was in California and everything was just expensive, HE&C has a very good hot pot, large size, for less than $20. They have a bar of different sauces, kimchi, chicharon for appetizers for free. 2) very good healthy food. On top of these, the service was excellent. The owner or manager was friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for everyone.

I had such a great experience here! The hotpot came in a beautifully designed pot that kept the broth bubbling and full of fresh vegetables, mushrooms, and bok choy. The beef was sliced perfectly thin, with great marbling for flavor, and the hand-pulled noodles were chewy and satisfying. Everything tasted fresh, clean, and high quality. The portion sizes were generous, and it felt like a balanced, hearty meal. On top of that, the presentation was gorgeous. The pot itself is a work of art. Definitely a spot I’d recommend for anyone craving comforting and authentic hotpot!

I’ve been to this store two to three times, and each time, the staff has been incredibly kind, providing attentive service. My child was very noisy, and the staff thoughtfully offered me some milk to help, which was really heartwarming! Their mini hot pots are also delicious—light in flavor and very comforting for stomach. I especially love their chicken broth hot pot; the meat absorbs the flavors so well when cooked in it!

ATTENTION: DISCRIMINATORY PLACE on BIPOC. Do NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Long delays and "sold out" excuses while others received them. Nearby tables who arrived after us were served quickly while our table waited 40+ minutes for items and was repeatedly ignored when we asked for updates. Multiple items we ordered were not delivered; staff told us they were "sold out" while we watched them shortly served these items to a table after us. We had to advocate to remove items that we never received, which should not be on the customer to catch. DO NOT SUPPORT DISCRIMINATION!!!!
