Sea Shai Korean Japanese Sushi Restaurant

Food is ok, though far from authentic jap Deep fried takoyaki!! But seafood is nice Not a friendly atmosphere though

The inside is very small and we were the only ones there on a Monday night with their two servers. It kind of felt like they were hovering and we didn’t have any privacy. This meant that they were on top of their service and clearing plates / filling waters instantly. But we would’ve liked to have our date night without eyes on us. The food was good. We ordered the wings which we heard raves about in the reviews. She said 20 minutes. A few minutes later we order a few roles of sushi to share. The sushi comes out first and half way into the 3 rolls we get our wings which we didn’t really want at this point. We ordered the Crazy, Godzilla, and Kamikaze rolls. All seemingly different on the menu, they all tasted the same. Only difference was texture. Would’ve been nice to have some variety, but maybe we ordered the wrong rolls? Nonetheless they were good and so were the wings. The wings were crispy. We got the Galbi sauce which we wish we didn’t order and order the honey garlic a classic. Not much flavor but slightly sweet.

We love the food! Is fresh and the tonkotsu broth was very flavorful, all the ingredients fresh, the service is great! The servers are friendly and nice at all times, The price is also good! I will define one back and recommend to visit the place, the details on the little things, like plates, arrangements and the cozy environment of this place gives you a great comfort after a cold day.. I can’t wait to come back!

Had a very lovely and delicious dinner! Friendly staff and very clean. Rolls were excellent, honey garlic wings were delicious, tonkotsu ramen was ok, I think I’d prefer a more rich broth, tempura was also delicious. Would definitely recommend ! The color of my skin was NOT an issue as someone stated ‘ we were treated very well.

We ordered delivery online and got no updates (probably more a door dash issue but...) had to track the order to find out it had been delivered 20 minutes earlier and was sitting on the front steps. The food was only okay. My chicken was dry and over cooked under seasoned. The edamame was under seasoned. The rice was okay. My wife's udon with vegetables (which were an ad on for extra) only had onions, no other vegetable. She also said it was underwhelming. Thought we would try it, but unfortunately don't think we will again.

Sea Shai in Nutley is a fantastic spot that expertly combines sushi and Korean cuisine. The sushi is fresh and flavorful, while the Korean dishes are rich and satisfying. The cozy ambiance and attentive service make for a delightful dining experience. Whether you’re in the mood for sushi or Korean comfort food, Seashai Sushi delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended! Especially try their LA Kalbi!

Great place for a quick bite Stumbled upon this place as I was driving and decided to try it. The two employees were so kind and started our meal with a complimentary tortilla chips and spice crab as well as mussels in a miso broth. We ordered several rolls and the finished our meal with some mochi for dessert. We also had warm tea throughout. The golden tiger roll was superb and I will definitely return for that one
