Sushi Plus One

First and foremost, this is a hole in the wall sushi spot in Murrieta, CA. It’s not omakasein NYC. With that being said, what a great little spot to have here in the IE. The food - calamari tempura 8.5/10: great, seemingly home battered calamari served with spicy mayo - chicken fried rice 6/10: mids - large 20 pc Chef Sushi 9/10: once again, it’s not NYC omakase, but it was delicious! Especially enjoyed the uni and jalepeno relish! Service / Atmosphere - 10/10 across the board. Small little chefs bar seating, maybe 6 tables. - the lady who runs the shop is an absolute electric factory. Bumping music, playing college football on the TV, handing out sake shots. She is an absolute beauty and totally made the service/atmosphere over the top great.

The sushi here was mind blowing.. I took a piece off everyone I went with and im definitely going to recommend this place to others.. the ginger is on the milder sweeter side.. wow I haven't reviewed a restaurant in years but this one was so good I just had to..

Nice hole in the wall! We enjoyed a couple rolls, edamame, and ramen. The service was fun and friendly. We went early (like 4:30pm) on a Saturday and were seated immediately. Will definitely be coming back.

They were so kind and amazing, food came out quick and their portions were big I couldn’t even finish all my food had to take it home with me. At the end it wasn’t that busy and they gave us free ice cream so sweet 🥲 I would 100% recommend it’s so yummy and fresh.

I went tonight hoping for some good food but unfortunately was met with no food. The music was a bit loud throughout the experience but I was willing to look past it for the food. My GF ordered sushi and got her order pretty promptly. She enjoyed her meal , I on the other hand waited for about 30 minutes waiting for my spicy sesame chicken. Mind you the waitress never checked in on us to keep us updated on the chicken or to even bother seeing how we were doing after the drinks and sushi was provided. I would have asked personally for an update on my food but the waitress spent her time in the back. It was only until I was fed up with waiting and stood up and asked to pay for the food we did receive that finally we got some attention. The waitress tried to give some bogus excuse that the food ticket didnt go through, yet somehow the same ticket with my GF sushi did go through, make it make sense. Just as we are about to leave, finally the food arrives but we were already fed up with waiting and paid for everything but the cold chicken. I cant speak much on the food but the customer service was very lacking. Im sure people have had good experience but we did not.

Food was very impressive! Didn’t expect to get this quality and details from our drive from Joshua tree back to Oceanside. Love the hospitality here: Server was funny and offered sake bomb, helping taking pictures; sushi chef was nice and offered something on the house. I will 100% return and recommend to anyone.

This has been my go-to sushi spot every time I visit Temecula or Murrieta from San Diego! The sushi is always fresh and delicious, and the staff here are so fun and friendly—it really adds to the experience. I truly appreciate the warm hospitality and the special treats!
